General Improvement Ideas

Travel and Exploration:
  • Wayshrines accessible via the map should be added to Eyevea, The Earth Forge, the Thief's Den, and the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, to provide even faster access to these locations and to decrease the number of zones you must travel through to reach them, thus decreasing the time spent on the loading screen.
  • To keep with the idea of One Tamriel, a PvE variant of Cyrodiil and the Imperial City should exist. It should be accessible by simply travelling to a Cyrodiil Wayshrine without going through the Campaigns menu. In here, all keeps and resources would not be owned by any alliance, and players of any alliance should be able to travel freely between them as if they were all owned by their alliance. In addition, PvP combat behaves the way it would in a PvE zone (i.e. can't hurt other players unless in a duel with them), and players of all alliances can group up as they would be able to outside of Cyrodiil as well.
  • Wayshrines players have encountered on one character will be marked on the map for their other characters, but grayed-out (i.e. Not discovered yet).
  • Same as above, but with Skyshards. Collecting a Skyshard with one character will mark it on the map for a player's other characters.

Crime and Justice System:
  • If guards start trying to kill you while you are inside a building. The doors leading outside should still function. Should you use them, the guards should follow you outside and continue their assault.
  • Successfully stealing an item from any source multiple times without getting caught earns the player a bonus multiplier to the value of their fenced items (i.e. they can fence items for more money). The bonus is reset whenever the player gains a bounty for any reason, kills someone, or is killed. Furthermore, if the bonus is reset due to gaining a bounty, the bounty will be increased by the same multiplier.

Dungeons:
  • Upon entering a Dungeon. If a player hasn't started the quest associated with it, it will be started automatically, unless there's no more space in their quest log.
  • If the dungeon is completed, but a first-time player leaves without turning in that dungeon's quest, the quest will be turned in automatically and they will receive the rewards anyway.

Guild Stores & Trading:
  • Guild Store UI for searching needs to be more streamlined. I heard of an add-on on PC called "Awesome Guild Store". From the sound of it, it needs to be part of the base game.
  • Bulletin Board in each town for Trade Requests should be implemented. Nothing to do with guilds, just a place for individual players to post trade requests. They list the item they have, and also enter the item they want, with optional alternatives (i.e. would like 20K gold, but a Potent Crux will do), as well as including tags to help people find their post. Potential buyers could search via tags, search for the item they want, or they could search for an item they have to see who wants one and what they're willing to offer.
  • Sellers should be able to edit the prices of their listings without having to take the listing down and put it back up again.
  • Players seeking a highly specific and/or rare item should be able to easily find out which guild stores have it without having to trek to every single one. Some kind of global search system is needed.

Crafting - Smithing/Clothing/Woodworking:
  • Having researched Nirnhoned on a piece of armor will increase your chances of finding Fortified Nirncrux in Craglorn. The chance will increase further for every armor piece you know Nirnhoned for. The same applies to Nirnhoned weapons and Potent Nirncrux.
  • Players should be able to add excess research items to a queue of sorts, so that the item is removed from their inventory immediately, and the timer will wait until a research slot is free before starting.
  • If you have at least one of each chapter of a motif in your inventory, you can use Bindings to combine all the pieces into a complete motif for that style. This is useful as it would require less weight to carry, and it would also make it much more appealing to potential buyers.
  • Deconstructing an item with a maxed out extraction passive guarantees the trait gem dropping, as well as a temper/resin/tannin of that item's quality. Furthermore, when used on items of cp160, the number of base mats extracted is a LOT higher.

Crafting - Alchemy/Enchanting/Provisioning:
  • Alchemy gets a Hireling Passive. 3 levels, just like the rest.
  • The "Laboratory Use" Passive will be removed, and its effect will be intrinsic to all players.
  • Highlighting a player-crafted potion in the menu will also reveal what ingredients were used to make it, if the player knows the relevant effects on those ingredients.
  • Extracting runes from a glyph will always produce at least 1 rune if done with a maxed out Runestone Extraction passive.
  • Knowing a Provisioning Recipe that involves Perfect Roe will increase your chances of getting it. The chance will increase further for each recipe you know that involves it.
  • Hissimir's Fish-Eye-Rye now increases your chances of finding Perfect Roe while under its effects. It also increases your chances of finding rare fish.
  • Knowing the Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia recipe (or the regular Aetherial Ambrosia recipe) will drastically increase your chances of finding Aetherial Dust (or Diminished Aetherial Dust) in the wild.

Crafting - Writs:
  • Regular Crafting Writs now award a small amount of Writ Vouchers (e.g. 1 or 2).
  • Master Crafting Writs now award significantly more Writ Vouchers.
  • The amount of Writ Vouchers awarded by Master Crafting Writs now increases depending on the number of traits required to craft an item in the set it's asking for.
  • Master Crafting Writs will not ask for a set, a trait, or a style that the character cannot do.

Crafting - Misc:
  • Ornate items now slightly increase gold gain from all sources when worn.
  • Ornate items can now be crafted by any player who has researched all 9 traits on that item. It requires 500 Gold in lieu of a trait gem (i.e. more than you can sell it for).
  • All crafting nodes offer not only mats at the players' current crafting level, but also mats on the level that zone was at originally. If a max level crafter went to Stonefalls, they'd get both Ancestor Silk and Jute on the same node.

As a player who plays on PC I am glad that some of your suggestions are fulfilled by fun made add ons and console players should be able to use them (like build in Skyshard maps into eso, awesome guild store etc). Some of your suggestions are appealing to me while some are not (ie I don't need increased perfect roe drop rate. I already have 60+ roes and 100 psijic ambrossia in my inventory and 30+ in guild stores. If you need them then join us in our fishing expeditions). One of your suggestions is already in game (you can use doors while you're being attacked by guard's. You just need to not take damage for 5 seconds and you can use doors). And some of your suggestions are brilliant (increased item value with each consecutive uncaught picpocket but increased bounty when caught. At least this one is balanced and we'll thought.)

My reasoning behind the increased drop rate for Perfect Roe for characters that know the Psijic Ambrosia recipe (or equivalent) is that people who know the recipe should be getting them more often because they can better make use of the ingredient than those without. Plus, knowing the recipe but not being able to craft it because rng hates you really sucks.

As for still being able to use doors if you can avoid damage for 5 seconds, that's really difficult if you've got no invis potions and you're in an enclosed space.

The increased value with each successful pickpocket was appealing to me because I feel like making money through thieving is largely dependent on rng, where you either get the really rare items and get lots of money, or you only get the fairly common ones and end up getting nowhere fast. This way, you can make more money as a thief, but only if you're successful. It separates the good thieves from the bad, rewarding the former while punishing the latter, making it the high-risk/high-reward activity it was always meant to be.

Ok I gotta be honest. When I started fishing I gave myself a promise that I won't fillet a single fish till I get master angler achievement. Once I got an achievement I filleted all my fishes. (7k+ fish, 1.5 day and thanks votan for awesome add on to help me fillet) even after filleting I still fish and buy cheap roes from guild stores. I adjusted my psijic ambrossia process accordingly so that I sell them as fast as I get their raw material a.k.a. roes. Increased roe drop rates will ruin my market experience and I have to do a lot of correlation all over. I also keep track of my roe rates so I can say 0.99% is roe drop rate but of course there is RNG ( getting 6 roe from 60 fish vs getting 0 roe from 300 fishes).

As for 5 seconds rule I first run to a corner where line if sight us low and when the guard's reach there I escape to door and break l.o.s. if the crime scene has more than 1 floor I can jump below and it is easy to escape but trust me counting that 5 second is like 5 minutes to me.

But I liked your ideas in general. I don't want to 1teleport to rawl kha 2 enter fighters guild 3 enter portal 4 run a long way and can't use mounts just to craft 1 piece of kagrenac. Any character who completed M.G. or F.G. questline should be able to use way shrine to access eyeva and Earth forge.

Some of the ideas I like and some not so much. One I really disagree with is having a PvE only Cyrodiil and Imperial City. They offer a unique experience to the game because of the PvP aspect when doing the PvE quests or farming. People who might otherwise never try PvP give it a shot. Some hate it some like it and decide to give PvP a go.

My #1 want is to have a search bar function in guild traders.

I see what you're saying, but what about the players who tried PvP and simply don't enjoy it? I like PvP when I'm doing PvP, but if I'm trying to do the PvE content in Cyrodiil the constant threat of enemy players detracts from the fun factor a lot.

I was kinda on the opposite side of the spectrum here. Sure it irritated me quite a bit early on when I would be trying to finish a delve and an enemy player would jump me. Then it became a fun part of the quest, kinda like a thieves guild quest before there was a thieves guild. Could I sneak around and get everything done before I was seen? Got lucky and ended up in a guild with players also doing those quests and that helped. That was my first real experience with PvP running with small groups doing dolmen and delves.

Later I decided I needed Caltrops on a character and that forced me back into PvP land again. This time it was pure PvP though and again as I started I wasn't much of a fan. After a while I got better and now I enjoy PvP.

I think it is good for the game that there are PvE quest lines in PvP content and I also think it is good for the game that some of the armor that works for PvP can only be had by doing PvE content. Gives the players at least a taste of something different in the game they might otherwise not do.

Agree with most if not all those suggestions. Re the Fish Eye Rye, when it first appeared I was hoping that was a secondary effect of drinking it. :/

Three of them would be pretty good. I mean I can live without them but it would be a good addition for convenience. As for the PvE only Cyrodill. This gets brought up a lot and I mean a lot. It’s not exactly an original idea anymore. Expect it to get shot down and trolled upon pretty quickly especially from the PvPers. I’m as anti PvP as they get and even I think a PvE only Cyrodill isn’t needed.

    Crime and Justice

Both ideas are somewhat interesting and worth looking at.

    Dungeons

Neither of these are needed IMO. It’s not hard to talk to the NPC at the start, it takes literally a second. As for the finish, while I think there is a problem with people leaving group mates high and dry by leaving before someone has a chance to cash the quest in, this is solved by not automatically removing people from the dungeon when their group mates leave.

    Guild Stores and Trading

First three? Yeah completely agree. I can’t get on board with the last one though because your essentially turning it into a glorified Global Auction House, which isn’t needed IMO. All we need is a keyword search at the guild store screen. That’s it.

    Crafting Smithing, Clothing, Woodworking

Yep. I’m on board for the first and the last idea completely. I don’t think the second idea is needed. It’s an easy system as is, it doesn’t need to be any easier. Your third idea is interesting and worth looking at.

    Crafting Alchemy, Enchanting, Provisioning

Honestly I can take or leave any of these ideas. Probably not essential but would be nice to have.

    Crafting writs

The only way I’d be ok with the first two would be if they significantly raised the prices to most if not all of the items available in the Master writ store. Your third idea? Yeah I’m on board. As for your last idea. No. I don’t agree. There is a market for trading crafting writs and your idea would kill it. If you have a writ you can’t do, sell it someone who can, make some gold.

    Crafting Misc

First idea? Meh I don’t really mind either way. Second idea? I don’t think it’s needed, but it could be worth looking at. Third idea? Sure. I’m on board.
