    At the moment mechanical acuity reigns supreme in PVE and is decent in PVP but this could change withh the next major patch.

    The only one here that I hear people steer away from is Magnus. I think the math always came out as better for Seducer but I'm not 100% sure.

    Magnus has a spell damage were seducers has a Regen, of course you are getting better sustain, but the five piece is mathematically the same on average.

    But i think magnus got pretty extinct on builds, while seducer still has some place in some builds.

    Before listing magnus i would list kagrenacs hope.
    Anyway, atm there are hundings rage, julianos, mechanical acuity and torugs pact as the crafted pve sets. Meanwhile sets like acuity, shacklebreaker, fortified brass and alchemist are pretty famous for pvp.

    Shacklebreaker, Hundings, Julianos, Mechanical Acuity, Torug's Pact (very popular among tanks with a crusher enchant), and maybe Kagrenacs? Kags is more situational though.

    PVE=Mechanical Acuity
    PVP=Shacklebreaker

    Not saying there aren’t other good ones, but those two are really all you need.

    Edit: to expand the list bit..
    PVE DPS: Mech acuity, hundings, julianos, Night Mothers (chages a lot next patch). No real reason for hundings, julianos with Mech Acuity, but they are worth mentioning as MA is not for everyone.
    PVE Tanking: Torugs Pact
    PVE Healing: Kagrenacs hope

    PVP All around/utility: Shacklebreaker, Seducer, magnus
    PVP Damage: Clever Alchemist, Eternal Hunt (little more Niche)
    PVP tanking: Fortified Brass

    Trying to think if there are any others that I have used, but I think that's about it. If I could only have one each for PVP and PVE, I stand by my original list. haha

    Magnus has a spell damage were seducers has a Regen, of course you are getting better sustain, but the five piece is mathematically the same on average.

    If we were given a fixed pool of Magic at the beginning of the game, then these two sets are the same over time. However in the course of most fights, the constant 20% cost reduction is far better than a small chance to have a 0 cost skill.

    Now, what would be interesting for a sustain build is 5 Piece Seducer and 5 Piece Magnus.

    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    I think Fortified brass doesn’t get enough pve love. It may not have a perfect spot in the traditional 4 man, but it’s a great set for solo. It’s especially great for new solo challenges since dead players don’t learn mechanics. Once you get a feel for what’s going on, you can swap in hundings. Or just hit a bigger challenge.

    Regardless it’s medium armor passives on a tank set. Very under rated imo.
