Gear suggestions with mag dk pve

Right now im planing only build my dps mag dk with 5 Burning spellweave, 4 piece of something else and either Shoria, or grothdarr

I want to know what 4 peice i should run or if it would just be better to drop the monster helm and go 5/5/1 instead.

I dont have the moondancer set and dont really want to grind the trial to get it.

When the update happens and staves count as 2 pieces, I'd recommend Burning spell weave, silks of the sun, and iiambris. Might not be BiS, but if you go 100% into fire spells it's pretty potent.

I was planning that. Just im too impatience too wait the build my mag dk.

A good 4 piece alternative to moondancer is martial knowledge. It drops in craglorn as the light armor set.
But before you take too much time arranging a setup with a 4 piece, you might just want to wait this month until summerset comes because youre able to wear two 5 piece sets plus a monster set and you would have to change your build then anyway.

4x Martial Knowledge, 4x Mother's Sorrow, any 4-piece with magicka/crit/damage will work really.

Some other easy setups are:
- 5x BSW body, 3x Willpower jewelry, 2x Monster, random staves.
- 3x BSW jewelry, 1x BSW body, 1x BSW stave, 4x Sun body, 1x Sun stave, 2x Monster.
- 5x BSW, 5x Sun/Julianos/etc, 1x Monster.

With summerset I'll be doing 3x BSW jewelry, 2x BSW staves (or 1x BSW stave and 1x vma stave), 5x Sun body, 2x Monster.

I wouldn't wait until summerset to get the sets, you could be farming now so you'll have it and be ready. I'd also expect the prices of some things to go up since most people will likely wait and buy the meta.

Infallible aether for 5/4/2 if no mooondancer. Can get it in any of the 3 craglorn trials. Jewellery is super easy to get and blue is fine considering upgrades in summerset. The staff is a bit harder but still doable since it drops from chests and there are heaps in the three trials.

I did have a horrible time getting my first but then got a bunch quickly.

Alternatively you could qait a couple of weeks till the meta slides a little.

With summerset and the staff counting as 2 pieces you can run 5/5/2. Apparently 5x elfbane(purchasable with AP or fold from guild stores), 5x mechanical aquity frontbar with staff(craftable)with zaan or grothdar/valkyn and vma backbar is performing really well. That is after transmuting elfbane jewellery from healthy.

At the moment i run 4x IA, 5x bsw and 2x grothdar/zaan. Best dps self buffed is 39.7k on a dummy. More in trials/groups. Ill be playing with others once summerset is live.
