Lvling up only in DLCs?

Hello,

I have only base game, no DLCs and I quite played everything I wanted.
Now I want to start the new character and want to ask if I can lvl it up all the way to 50 only in DLC areas, since I wanna to play new things, not repeat it all over, just on the different character.

I understan that if I subscribe the game I will get access to all the areas and DLCs of the game, which suits me pretty fine and want to enjoy all the stuff on completely new character.
I play game mostly as a PVE, singleplayer game, with ability to join group content whenever I want.

So question again: Can I lvl up only in DLCs (epecially Morrowind, Broderhood and Imperial city), and exploring old world only for the skyshards and ocasional quest that seems interesting.

Thanks

I always love to play some co-op, multiplayer:
Battle.net: Kazisvet#21483 (WoW, HotS, Diablo, Overwatch)
Steam: fizola88 (many, many, many...)
Origin: Lord_Kazisvet (anything with origin access)
uPlay: Lord_Kazisvet (Crew 1/2, For Honor, R6S)

You earn XP in DLC maps exactly the same way you do in the base game maps, so you can definitely level up in them.

I'm not sure if just those 3 DLC would give you enough XP to reach level 50 though. But then it depends on how you do it - if you do every side quest, explore everything, and take your time exploring so you have to kill random enemies instead of running past them on a mount you'll get a lot more XP than if you just do the main quest as fast as possible.

Yep. Made a nightblade that I levelled up through Dark Brotherhood & Thieves Guild no problem. Was quite easy & fun!

Doing the 'main' quest in the DLC probably no, but there are many more repeatable and daily quests PvE in the DLC than anywhere but Craglorn & Cyrodil in the base game
so yes but a qualified one

and of course xp boosters would help increase the xp gains you got in any particular dlc zone

Also, even if you don't wanna replay certain entire zones, you may still want to do the various dungeons in the old zones, and those offer a ton of XP during the pledges and whatnot

Perfectly possible, my charecters all start as street rats in abahs landing, most of them are well into the twenties before they leave those fairly small zones to start the main base game quest. In fact you can get mages guild and fighters guild by talking to npcs in the Abah guild halls, no quest needed, you can even get undaunted xp in the tomb near the city as it’s got a few undead. You have to go to the base game though for shards and books. I don’t mind as I still enjoy the base game stories, but bear in mind that I refuse to grind anymore, I just play the game and use what skills I get. I’ve done the whole vet trial thing and now I’m just here to enjoy the world so what works for me might not work for others :)

Yes, easy, I leveled my warden character to around 45 by just doing Morrowind and Orsinium.

Thank you all for answers, I am very happy with the messages, looking forward to new experiences in Tamriel :D Btw was considering DK as my new class, because I forgot that I would have access to warden also (will I?) if so, than nothing better than new content and new class.

No one is even forcing you to do any quests, but the starter quests - afterwards you could just level up by just bashing on beetles if you would want to. So any area is good for that, but if it would be fun is a different issue. There is not even a need to do quests, you can do them, if you like or if your character is likely to do them (roleplaying), and otherwise avoid them.
