The information @jdavidp87 linked to is correct. The Crown Crates will be delivered by May 16th at the latest. There are a lot of people they need to be distributed to, so they get sent out in bit by bit instead of trying to deliver them all at once which could result in very bad things happening.

I know it isn't your job to know how things work, but that is not something you should have posted. The crates are already in the game and people buy hundreds of them at the same exact second on the servers anyway because it is just a simple trigger. They also get opened only one at a time but also by many people at the same time.

The real reasons they are not delivered are, one, because this is tied to the login which login servers are typically separate from the actual game servers and, two, the code to check was added in well after launch so shoehorned in and is not always active on the servers to prevent free crates from raining from the sky all the time.

This has to wait for an update to character data with the server maintenance for the above reasons.

I work for a large company that has the same sort of code for certain things. Let's just say that if it is coded right there is no trouble doing something like this even in an always on 24/7 system without maintenance times.

Just correcting misinformation since I've even used the same false explanation to "shut up clueless customers" who wouldn't understand the true technical explanation, or when I wasn't told a better answer either.

Recently I received only one crate, I'm not sure was that some achievement and whether it works that way (sorry I'm noob) or was it what we're supposed to receive since I logged in every day during that time.

That was probably one you earned for reaching a certain level with your character. If you are new, you can earn 3 of them by the time you hit level 50. I think you get them at levels 20,30 and 50, but only the first time one of your characters levels to that. Any other characters after that won't get the reward as I understand it.
