Content creators [aka streamers] and ......freedom?

I am curious where independence and freedom of (not only eso but generally) content creators end and (almost blind) loyalty to game publisher starts?

I am curious about your opinion. it's not a secret that content creators are free advertisement for a game. And if a content creator is talented and has some interesting ideas, they too can make some profits.

Can one maintain their independent outlook and has total freedom to create whatever content they want regarding a game in question if one is ,one way or another, "spoilt" by the company?

Are you talking about 3rd party content creators (Nexus, ESO addons, etc) or are you talking game devs that actually work for the producing studio?

If you're getting paid by the publisher, you're making content that you've been contracted to make. There might be some freedom there; I don't know. But, at the end of the day, you're their employee.

Look at crown crates, the Outfit System, and various other systems in the game and you'll see the influence that the publisher/parent company has on the average developer. They are pressured and given incentive to monetize as much about the game as possible. This is true in most of mainstream gaming.

There is a reason that indie gaming has become so prolific.

I don't know, you tell me. I am using their terminology. lol they like to call it "gaming content" or something.
I guess it refers to builds, guides, tips?

Most streamers' loyalty to their chosen brands probably ends where the dollars end.

There are a few that genuinely care about the games they represent, but they are becoming exceedingly rare. Most just see streaming as $$$.

Most streamers I am aware of or have seen have no qualms about criticizing whatever game the play or criticizing the publishing company behind it.

You're confusing the terms 'Content Creator', 'Gaming Content' and 'Game Content'.

Content Creator = Streamer/Youtuber

Gaming Content = Any content involving games, but not the content in the games. ie. A vMA video is 'gaming content', vMA itself is game content.

Game Content = The actual game.
