Hey guys since release we have always had the same objective based mass pvp map and gameplay. What you guys think about the idea of expanding the mass pvp into a new large map like say: an oblivion plane where the entrance is through the imperial districts or the same cyrodiil map with a slightly different distribution of objectives or dynamics altogether.
My idea for a new gameplay would be to have a second cyrodiil where there are no keeps at all only flags, a lot of flags and the map is just a big flag game where multiple people strategize to obtain the most domination/capture the point type flags(not grab and run flag game). This allows players to break into different small groups or run solo as opposed to very large numbers and deteriorating game performance on large bouts. Then you have the elder scrolls ( a standard capture and run to base) on a very hard to take structure and when grabbed you cause large aoe damage (to yourself, teammates and enemies) till you take it to your home base point. These can give a huge buff to the faction when captured and increased perks like more XP, AP, gold and character buffs.
The more flags a faction owns the most it multiplies with the beforementioned rewards. Alike the current cyrodiil with the home keeps and their double point measure there could be home flags that gives higher faction buff and perks in the score evaluation.
The second part of this gameplay would be the ability to create small defensive structures like: walls, ramps, doors and it can be upgraded upon duration or repaired if defended. This allows players to protect flags with a slight defensive fixture where small scale can occur. These can be sieged and countersieged with existing siege engines.
The last part would be to throne an emperor The imperial city bridges are open and connected in this version of cyrodiil but they are defended in all three entrances by a large keep-like structure that you must siege and break in as an emperor you must choose to lead the faction to defend these three entry spots, or retake home flags. If any of these entrances to the imperial districts are broken- the enemy factions can pour in and take the district flags which is the road to deposing and throning a new emperor.
Ideally if a large premade group/guild decide to remain together to capture flags they will lose in game for abandoning certain objectives cause a smaller group divided can retake them behind leaving them with no option than to strategize better and break into smaller groups.
Forward camps numbers are also a good way to create global spawn points in the strategic way the faction wants to defend their flags or objectives.
What you all think about this idea? Certaintly refreshes the mass pvp experience in my opinion.
