Is there a starter guide (up to date) to help introduce me to modding?

After years of ESO on X1, I finally pulled the trigger on the PC version (currently downloading ), and I'm very eager to play the game with the helpfulness of add-ons.
I'm not playing the game through steam (not sure if that matters), and I have only used basic mods in a game (skyrim) years ago, so I don't have too much experience with it.
To get started, I just want to utilize mainly qol mods to help my character get caught up, and not bypass every skyshard, lorebook, etc....
Can anyone point me in the right direction? And thanks in advance.
