Experiences with a Microsoft Surface Laptop (4GB, Core i5)

I have a friend who has this model Surface (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-surface-laptop-13-5-touchscreen-intel-core-i5-4gb-memory-128gb-solid-state-drive-platinum/5855804.p?skuId=5855804), and was wondering if anyone has the same and has experience they can share about how well, or if ESO works on it.

I know it's not a gaming machine (so I'm not looking for comments about that). This friend isn't super technical, and doesn't have access to another machine to use so was just looking for general feedback from someone who has installed it (does it install, general graphics settings you run on it, FPS for that setting, general playability, etc).

Thanks.

If it runs at all, he has only a 128G hard drive to install a game that eats up 65G, and he has an Intel HD Graphics 620 card. Not sure if it will run on that card, if it does, it'll be at the lowest settings.

Hi there, maybe this helps to get a first view:

    https://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=3734&canMyGpuRunIt=The Elder Scrolls Online

My GPU Quadro 1000M is listed not working, it does work however (needed some twitching, tho)

    Good luck.

If you do install there are slot more settings then ingame you can use to make the game run better.

First of all it is a very reduced laptop when come down to option for connecting another device as mouse or keyboard. Secondly it runs a Windows 10 S that S make this windows version to special version which restrict features on laptop. I wouldn't recommend anyone to play on that kind of hardware as it will take a lot of time just to be able to feed your horse/mount and doing any fighting will not be a very good experience. An Intel i5 could mean anything from low power CPU for mobile range of processors. Some i5 are dual core with 4 thread in total, other are full 4 cores but at a low clock rate. Bestbuy doesn't give any specific data about i5 version, so be careful that you are getting hardware inside that actually run according to what you expected to purchase. The actual hardware content from a SKU like D9P-00001 can change a lot between the same D9P-00001. Always get a data sheet with exact specification to what you purchasing with a SKU like D9P-00001.

Just to give you some background. My own i7 7700HQ and GTX 1060 can run this game, but it doesn't seem to change much in FPS when running at low quality settings or high/ultra, so you can not expect any good FPS when doing questing on something that is running even at a lower clock on each core (prosessor).

Integrated GPU does work to play, but you have to expect to be more around 10-20 FPS when there is less people around with dips down to almost 1 FPS when there is a lot going on (many players, AoE effects etc). This game also eats a lot of SSD space and need enough of RAM to not be using too often your SSD for allocating more memory space.
