Would you be in favor of a "token" to select the weapon you receive at the end of a vMA run?

    I don't understand the no votes, you all do understand that there is a chance you will NEVER get your desired weapon regardless of how many runs right? Instead of playing the content you enjoy over and over you'd rather spend that precious time repeatedly playing vma?

    Completely at the mercy of rng? At least with dungeon running you have up to 3 other players to trade with to greatly diminish the tedious process of obtaining whatever gear you are farming.

    If you're a dedicated pvper you'd rather be killing boring ass npc's over human opponents?
    If you're a hardcore raider you'd rather spend that time in vma for the umpteenth time instead of bettering your last run at whatever dungeon/trial you enjoy?

    Just wow, how does this even make sense to some of you?

    In principle I would agree flawless should have an extra spiffy reward of one's choice, the problem of latency will make getting it nigh impossible for oceanic/asian players . We play with 280-320 average ping. So, the rng devil will still rule. Hence tokens are my preference.

    I've always said that each run should give you a weapon, that weapon is tradeble with other players in the group but if you don't need it and are chasing something else you should be able to return it to a NPC who will give you a something, token , coin not sure what ... But once you collect enough you can return to the same NPC and buy the item you are after

    Different dungeons have different tokens so you can't farm an easy dungeon for say a master weapon

    Would stop the constant farming for what you need. But getting a token will not happen. This game is all about farming and farming keeps players in the game at least the dumb ones. Face it how many times will you do the same content over and over again before you finally realize it has gotten plain old. What ZOS needs to do is add for free Old McDonalds Little Farm song to the Crown Store. Then players will have something to listen to while they do VMA dover and over again in hopes of getting the weapons they want.

    I don’t know. I’ve got everything I need out of there now. It would have helped early on. I’m probably not even at 50 runs through there and have more bows and fire sticks than I’ll ever need.

    The hardest part of Maelstrom was learning it. If I could get a couple of the hunt daggers or a greatsword that would be cool.

    Here's what I would like.

    You do vMA.

    You get a crap weapon (or one you have a gajillion of them).

    You deconstruct it (or sell it) for gems, similar to how crown crates gems works.

    Once you reached a certain number of gems, you use them as currency to buy the weapon you want.

    But then I wake up covered in sweat, and I see my 10th bow, or 65th shield, and still no fire stick...

    Most definitely yes! I may not be the best to comment having not done VMA yet (I cp365 so still scared).... But one of the reasons I haven’t tried is the likelihood I won’t get a weapon I need, being a mag sorc I really want a lightning or inferno staff, but know the chances aren’t good. It’s a real disincentive to try it, especially imagining the hours it will take me to complete.

    I say give two RNG options at least at the end. One random magic weapon and one random stamina weapon. imo. I feel like that's how it should be with every weapon option (VDSA)

      Only way I'd go for this is if you had a window of time where you could turn in whatever weapon you got at the end of vMA for a token fragment 1/12. Once you collected 12 fragments then you could turn them in for a weapon of your choosing. Trait would still be RNG though.
