Can't Create Level 50 Characters On PTS?

Hey there,

I think I've just wasted a lot of my download limit and disc space installing the PTS. I wanted to test some different builds and I thought you could create level 50/160 CP characters to experiment with. But this option isn't available to me.

I can only create brand new characters (the dropdown only says 'None' or 'Summerset'). There are no character templates available

And unfortunately, I can't use one of my existing characters from the Live server because the ones it copied are all low level characters from the NA server and I no longer play on the NA server (my level 50 main is now on the EU server).

Is there a way to get the PTS to copy my main character from EU so that I can at least test things with her?

Also, does anybody know if this restriction is only temporary? Will people be able to create and test max level characters again once Summerset leaves the PTS?

There are templates of pre-made max-level characters that you can use on the PTS. (You can tweak their look if you want to.) I believe they're in a drop-down menu on the upper left side of the screen, but it's been a long time since I've used them.

You can't create your own max-level character on PTS.

Yep, that's what I was looking for. But it looks like these pre-made max-level characters have been removed for Summerset testing. Which is a real bummer!

I'm just hoping they'll be available again once they've finished testing Summerset.

As @SydneyGrey said, the template character is a pulldown located in the upper left of the PTS character generation menu.

Also, you should be posting this in the PTS forums,@Klixen, and not General Discussion.

The EU character copy is scheduled for next week (May 7).

Left hand corner at character creation there's a drop down menu. Select summerset. It doesn't say this illeration but it should be Max level character option you are looking to test. Don't worry I missed it too at first.

I just checked on the test server, and you have to click on "create character" before you see the drop-down menu on the upper left. Right now it just says "Summerset" when you click on the drop-down. I assume the characters will be max level once you create them if you use that menu, because that's where they always put the template characters before.

The templates have always been max level 50.

The templates have never been pre-made ... it’s up to you to allocate skills, attributes, riding lessons, mundus, CP, and so on.

Well, I obviously meant pre-made up to a point. They're not 100% pre-made.

The first character I made was level one, but I have an idea I didn't select Summerset in the drop down. So I'll try again

I just made a High Elf lady using "Summerset" in the drop-down menu. It does indeed make a max-level character, and you can customize it however you want to.
