No, they give you a box that can contain up to 10 stones, but usually only have 1 or 2.

So they don't give 50 once done in hard mode?
Are you sure they vanish when ESO+ runs out?
It doesn't work that way with anything else. If you have items in your craft bag when your sub runs out they stay there and you can still use them (in fact they'll be used before ones in your inventory), you just can't add any more. Same with extra items in your house or in your bank.
If transmutation stones are being deleted from your account when your sub runs out that sounds like it's probably bugged. And quite concerning considering the number of people (especially on Xbox) who regularly have trouble getting their sub to actually renew.

Is this a post from CNN of the ESO forums or did you mistype 5?
This is 100% false. The only thing that gives 50 stones that I know of is the end of campaign reward box from Vivec.

It's not even that that limit is halved by the way..Its that if you have 200 stones and eso plus runs out. 100 just vanishes.

You lose nothing.
And pledges have never given out 50 stones in anything other than Dev mode.

They do go away. It happened to me and a few of my friends.

I think the end of campaign rewards from the non-CP 30 day also pays out with a guaranteed 50. (Though I'm not sure.)
There's also gold boxes you get from Rewards for the Worthy which can contain 50, but usually have 4.

No if you have 200 and eso plus runs out. It gets changed to 100 because you are over the limit.
