Personal Merchant and Banker

Considering how much we had to pay for our Banker and Merchant assistants we should be able to edit their name, appearance, and worn gear.

At 5000 Crowns each it kind of stinks that they have to look identical to the assistants that everyone else has.

If the merchant goes to be able to repair gear, You'll soon hear as if millions of voices suddenly cried out .. "PAAAAYYYYY TO WIIIIIIN"

that would be too much value for the price of them on the crown store. ZoS can't be having any of that.

Why not both? If we can change the warden bear to grey why not have something similar for assistants.

If there was no other way to repair your armor on the go, yes it would be p2w. But right now crown repair kits exist and do the job of a regular merchant who repairs everything with 2 buttons. If zos adds the repair option, only crown repair kits will become obsolete. And it's actually worse cause you can use an addon to automatically repair with crown kits or normal ones but with merchants, you are forced to spawn them and interact with them.

I don't see ZOS adding that feature, at least not for free.

I think the most they'll be willing to do is introduce assistant skins that will change appearance and name. And they won't be cheap.

10,000 crowns paid for the two personal assitants. Money is not really an issue for me.

I understand they make them so you can't take advantage in PvP, but perhaps they could give them the function for PvE and disable in PvP.

How would that pay to win? You can already go to a merchant and pay for repairs.. I can see them limiting your access to the merchant's repair function to keep you from using it in certain circumstances.. No access in Delves, dungeons, battle...
    Just a thought
I don't want to pay 5000 for one in any case

I just don't get how some people could think having the merchant repair would be P2W... You still have to pay gold to repair and you can't use in PVP. Oh but they sell crown repair kits that don't cost gold to use, can be used anywhere at any time (even in PVP), and repair all equipped gear by using just one kit. smh

For the price of these assistants they should have all the features - merchant repairs and banker accesses guild bank/store. When I bought my assistants I had no idea they couldn't do these things.

Your gear doesn't degrade from XP earned, or deaths suffered, in PvP. Only PvE combat XP and deaths degrade your gear. So, no P2W here.

That said, they would mess up the balance of the IC Sewers a bit, simply because you'd be able to farm indefinitely. Same for some other parts of Cyrodiil.

I mean, I also paid the 10,000 crowns. I still don't want super expensive skins. I think most people wouldn't.

If ZOS tries offloading skins at 3k, 4k, or even 5k a pop, for instance, it would be a major clusterf***.

If the only way to get them is to pay for them, then I am fine with that I agree though 3, 4, 5k would be too much. I am thinking more like 200C to 1.5kC. However, I would be super fine with them being free or us simply being able to equip costumes and or armor that we already have.

If it's not FREE and part of the base game then it's "pay to win"..plain and simple.

And the price of the banker..5K..worth every crown because of the convenience he's provided over the past 10 months I've had him.
Out in the middle of nowhere and a guildie wants to trade a motif..whip out that banker and check your stock.

Maybe on my part but there are plenty of thread posts calling anything in the crown store "pay to win".
    Crowns are a "paywall'.

It absolutely sucks that you can't customize them at all, given their prices yes.

I wish Elfbetta as Merchant and Llayne Sadri as Banker.

I don't mind they are unable to repair and access the stores. In fact, if one had the merchant, people wouldn't need to buy repair kits (including crown ones) in trials. On the other hand, I wish I could limit access to them: just because we are in the same group, it does not mean I want to share them with other people.
