Tormented Spire flat animated walls?

So, before we start, I am not entirely sure if they're a bug or not. They just seem out of place. They did go away after destroying the Southern Ruins ward, but before destroying them, I tried a /reloadui before I did so.
I just don't think they're intentional especially as they're like... 1 pixel thick and that and animated...
