I need help with keybinds (Before I go insane!)

This one will be convoluted, so bare over with me for a moment!

For years I've been having a rather annoying issue in ESO surrounding keybindings, and yet as time flew by, it only appears to grow worse.

The issue is this: Whenever I hold SHIFT and ALT down together, followed by ALT and TAB, the game changes my Interface and Nameplate settings.

I can replicate this combo pretty darn often, and it occures on a daily basis... and it is annoying me to all hell, since its bottoms that I frequently press during gameplay. SHIFT + ALT to sprint and look around without turning the character, and the self-explanatory ALT + TAB to check on everyone who bombards me on Discord.

The only keybind I myself have changed here is ALT to "Mouse Freelook" function.

Now, here comes the kicker... Whenever I do this, the settings menu occasionally disables the following UI elements
- Quest Giver Icons
- Group Member
- Ressurectable Players
- Followers

I have no feasible idea why this combination of buttons changes specifically these settings. But additionally, whenever this happens, the game gives me the small message of "Input Language Changed to: English"

I've removed every other keybrind than SPRINT and MOUSE FREELOOK from my SHIFT and ALT buttons, and yet this still happens often.

Have anyone else experienced similar problems, or does anyone know how to fix this?

General rule of thumb, don't use multiple Modifier keys together: Ctrl, Alt, Shift, and Tab are the modifier keys. I play with either a 12-key thumbpad mouse like the razer naga or a controller when going more casual. Controller is a lot easier and can be mapped with most combat functions leaving the rest of the interface stuff to the keyboard.

You've earned that insightful! Im not enough of a computer intellect to know that those are considered modifier keys.. and thus this question may sound stupid, but its uttermost sincere: is it possible to simply "tell" the game to not recognoze these modifer keys?

Laziness or not, but this has been my comfortable control scheme for years. Its just mystical change of settings thats an annoyance.

Well, as I outlined in the OP, these are purely for movement. SHIFT to sprint (default) and ALT to freelook without turning the character.

I believe that TAB + ALT is rather self explanatory, it changes the current window displayed on your monitor, something frequently used to check communication programs like Discord, Teamspeak and Skype. Or just any other program that is not ESO, really.

If i understand this correctly i have something similar as usually these are key combos that switch the language settings of your keyboard. If you're not switching from English regularly it will save you a headache.

You can turn off many of the hot key combinations (for example the alt shift one) in the control pannel. Here's an example of some instructions on how to do this: https://superuser.com/questions/698037/can-i-disable-the-altshift-shortcut-to-change-language-in-windows-8-1

Not sure if links are allowed if not just google "how to disable alt+shift shortcuts in Windows (insert version here).
