Population Cap Increases for certain 12-person homes

Hi there. Once again we're left with no news about when/if population and item cap limits are going to increase, except for a vague "we're working on it" from I don't know how long ago. So I'm just going to beat the dead horse a little more, because we've been asking for a long, long while. HOWEVER, that's not entirely what this thread is about.

Instead, one thing I'd like to ask is whether we can get population increases (I'd even be willing to BUY these in the crown store) for the largest of the large houses, which are arguably the same size as manors in terms of space. I've heard a lot of people echoing this sentiment--houses like Hunding's Palatial Hall, Mournouth Keep, and Goronir Estate especially could benefit from having player cap increases (20-24 people). It would also be a great asset for those of us who can't afford or don't want manor sizes houses, but have enough space already to host more people than 12!

Please listen to us and increase the limits, ZOS!

They aren't increasing item caps for Summerset - from what they told the testers they invited over its largely because of limits on console performance. I don't know if there are similar considerations for # of players in a house at once.

Yeah, I'm just driving home the point that we still want item cap increases. But that's not what this thread is actually about. It's about population. Since there are already 24 cap player homes, I see no reason why caps can't be raised for homes that have enough space to hold more people but are currently locked behind 12 player limits. Makes it hard for roleplayers in particular trying to hold events in places besides the 5-6 Manor sizes homes we have.

When did they say "we are working on it"?

It's been a long time ago now, I'd have to dig for it. I can try later, but I believe a dev said they wanted to raise caps at one point but said little beyond that.

I hate how they're adding a cap that we all know it's aritificial. The fact that subbing to ESO+ doubles the furniture cap says enough.

I don't think the item cap is artificial. It's probably true that they run into trouble with hardware at 700+ items. However if that is the hard cap, I do NOT think it would be impossible to implement the option for people to increase their item slot counts on smaller houses by buying them through the crown store.

It's also clear that houses CAN hold up to 24 people without a problem, so I don't see why that can't be raised on 12 person houses that clearly have enough space for double that!

I agree, I personally feel all the 12 person houses should be raised to 24. The only thing keeping me from buying a Strident Springs is the fact that the cap is so low. Like, there's so much space in that house, inside and out, yet only 12 people can enjoy it--making it even more useless than manors for events.

I'm confused how other games can host 50-100 players in a house but ESO can only manage 12-24...

And this is why I hate when games adhere to parity between console and PC. Everyone except the extremely uninformed know that PCs will always have better upwards limits compared to consoles.
