What if we're missing something??

What if "requiring" certain DPS numbers is missing something in trials?? For those players who have not defeated Molag Bal, yet; STOP READING.... SPOILER ALERT...

Just as in the final battle in the Molag Bal fight, a special mechanic (i.e. a specific weapon...) was required to defeat him... although it was possible to "burn him down" (yet considerably more time-consuming...) with conventional weapons; isn't it just as possible that there is a similar mechanic (obviously not a specific weapon..) that can more effectively defeat trial bosses??

It wasn't a weapon. It was the Amulet of Kings, discharging the captured soul sacrificed in order to inflict damage on Molag Bal.

Sort of the entire point of the MQ.

As of next patch, if I read the notes correctly, monsters will no longer have different resistances to different elements.

Old-timers will remember the add-on that shows the plethora of damage type resistances that were never implemented, will remember when Oblivion damage came from a couple different sources, and when we all thought that you needed fire to stop a troll from regenning...

If it makes you feel any better, I pretty much always feel like I am missing something.
