So it's been quite a while since I have played, left just before the regen nerf and housing seemed to be of more importance then fixing the bugs that were here from release (PS4), and my magika NB had been relegated to bottom of the pile.

Is it worth coming back to the game and how much of a grind am I in for to re equip my NB (Will Power and Scathing Mage with sharpend flame staffs) or sorc (same but in spell weave).

Blow me away with grand tale of how much better the game is now or just tell me the truth.

Regards a once fearsome Magic NB......................................................................

Just from the grind you would have to do itself would almost not be even worth to come back.

Do you like the game and the content you do enough to regrind?

I mean, there are new zones to explore, quests to do, dungeons to run, Battlegrounds to fight, etc. If you like that stuff, sure! If that doesn't interest you, probably not.

If you enjoy the content that ESO offers and there is some you haven't done then it's always worth coming back to do more.

There are a number of systems which make RNG easier now (retraits, trading dungeon items) and Summerset is shaking things up so everyone's going to be changing their gear any way.

If you hated how ESO played or having to work for the gear to play at the top end of gameplay then you're going to have a less enjoyable time as not a great deal changed.

Well I ground 16 veteran ranks so had enough of quests, Bg's just used to be a slide show of poor frame rates and certain unkillable classes .
Dungeons and trials were my thing, but if my stuff is to outdated to be even considered for these then I guess I don't think I could stand the grind of getting more kit if it is the same as when I left..

Sorry posted this before I read the post above , looks like having a good hard think then.............

If you're interested in dungeons and trials the the DLC dungeons and the newer trials offer real challenges and are a lot of fun.

You don't need the best gear to beat them (entry level crafted would work fine) but depending on your role some dungeon or trials sets would give you better results. Trait changing is a big help in gearing up.

Thanks for the info , may just load the game up and potter about for a few days to get the feel and see how it pans out, Trait changing is something I used to dream of whilst running WGT,and ICP . That would have saved some rage inducing moments..

Really? Compared to other MMOs, ESO isn't grindy at all. Levelling is a joke if you hit the right spots. For endgame, it's easy and fast to get crafted sets that will perform quite well. Dungeons and trials aren't difficult to farm either, you'll likely get most everything you need in a handful of runs. If you mean the CP system, then I can see that being more of a thing, but it's diminishing returns past CP 300 and gets less and less of a priority the more points you have. I've seen people who do fantastic DPS with 400ish CP.

You really don't need that much time to get yourself back into things. Like at all. I have guildmates who have been making and gearing up multiple alts for endgame within the space of this 3-week event (yes, with double experience. But even without, it doesn't take long). Compare that to any MMO with an actual gear treadmill, which ESO does not have.

Well he's right. I just had a bud move from Xbox to PC and we got him from zero to c300 on 4 chars over this event. He's already doing endgame with us.

Crafted gear is usually second BiS and its fine for a majority of content, so i dont see gear as an issue at all. The CP grind is probably what is going to bother you the most. But again high CP isnt necessary to do most content. You hit CP 300 your good to go for most group content except maybe the newer trials. As for updating your builds that isnt a big deal skill/cp/attribute wise. You can redo CP, and attributes pretty cheap. Skills are a bit more pricey but not overly so. You should be able to run vet dungeons with minimal effort outside of learning the dungeon mechanics and probably all of the normal trials on normal without a lot of effort outside of learning the mechanics.

I went from CP267 to CP381 during this event just doing dailies 3-4 hours a day and today is day 19 so just shy of 3 weeks and i went light on playing 3 of those days not even spending an hour in game. So you could figure half that without the event and dailies arent the most efficient method of leveling....just another example of the how not terrible the grind is.
