Two variations on a fireplace

Two of my fireplaces with a rustic theme--one is in the wash house in Hakkvild's Hall (leaving the heating of bathwater to magic just wasn't cutting it for me), and the other is the Ald Velothi kitchen/main fireplace. I'm always interesting in seeing a fireplace, so I thought people might like to see these. Both were exercises in suggestive functionalism with minimal slot usage, and I also wanted them to be architecturally appropriate for their houses. Which can be hard, because we don't always have a lot to work with.

Hakkvild's:

Materials (12)
Rock, volcanic slab x4
Dwarven bench, forged (hearthstone)
Khajit fireplace
Nord shelf, braced x2 (mantel)
Rough block, dark stone x2
Scavenged grating, narrow
Indoril streetlight, full stone (chimney)

Ald Velothi:

Materials (9)
Rock, volcanic slab x5 (2 each side, one in middle on top of altar, behind chimney)
Dwarven bench, forged (mantel)
Moonmont lunar altar
firelogs, ashen
Hlaalu wallpost, pillar stone (from out front)

Wow, these look great, @thirdgirl! You've done a really wonderful job, the Ald Velothi fireplace looks particularly cozy.

Thanks guys! I really enjoyed making them. Problem solving is one of my favorite things about housing. So fun.

What boulders/stones did you use? Would you care to share the set up? Thx.

Where did you get the red crystals (and what is the name)? The closest I could find to red was the Crimson Shard of Moonshadow/.
