Why is Zenimax ruining class spammables?

Can someone please tell me why Zenimax is killing class spammables? With this most recent nerf they have rendered the Magicka Nightblade spammable Strife useless. The decision to raise this to the cost of Force Pulse is a disgrace. Zenimax wants all Magicka classes to use force pulse and to not have any individuality whatsoever. I understand a slight cost increase but to make it the same cost as an ability that gives so much more is a joke.
IMO The only class that should use force pulse is Magicka Sorcerer! When you make it bis for everything else then your ruin the gameplay and make it monotonous and tedious af. If I wanna play a Magblade I want to use their spammable. If I play a dk or templar I want to use their spammable!
I play alot of solo vma a nerf like this is a class ruining nerf for me. I will not use witchmothers and a magblade. .

Jarryzzt✭✭✭✭Well. Technically Force Pulse is pretty much required to take a MagDK out of melee range, but whatever.
I will say that while I haven't done vMA with my Magblade, I have done a lot of vet HM stuff with them. And I have to say, in the rotations I use Strife pops up once, maybe twice per cycle. Of course, this is partly due to sustain issues (which I mitigate with HAs, which in turn take up "spammable" slots between reapplying DoTs), and partly due to my focusing on maintaining said DoTs and Merciless and various utility buffs/debuffs, which does not leave very many spammable slots to begin with...
...and in any case during the execute phase I am spamming Impale...
...but my point is that fine, I have to pay an extra 809 magicka once or twice per rotation. It isn't going to change things a metric ton, maybe, what, an extra HA every two cycles (with HA damage now getting a buff)? It's annoying, to be sure, but I would not exactly say that this is the end of the (Magblade) world.
Obviously if someone else runs a different build/rotation setup that is heavy on Strife spam, well, yes, that will hurt. Them, specifically, however, not the class as a whole I do not think.0 -

✭✭Yep they seem to be hellbent on generalising all classes.
Strife looks awesome and makes the magblade rotation seem strangely elegant. If they nerf it this much, I will most likely quit the class altogether and got with magsorc for the next patch.3 -

You wont even notice the cost increase. My Magicka NB has such a low amount of magicka and I can still spam it, and I still sustain Kena on top of it. It wasnt nerfed, just increased in cost. It's not useless IMO.0 -
Em, you are forgetting another Magblade class spammable that was left out because of Strife: Concealed Weapon
The Stamina Morph, Surprise Attack, is the main spammable for Stamina Nightblades, so shouldn't Concealed Weapon be for Magblades?
It costs the same as Force Shock/Strife now, but it deals more damage: Main drawback? It is melee range.
With strength and intelligence comes hard work.
Which is why not a lot of people are strong nor intelligent.1 -

PVE perspective again? Lets think about PVP side at least once.
SS/FH:
- reflectable
- unnoticable heal
- till next patch relatively low cost (still higher than in 1T)
CS:
- non-reflectable
- range interrupt
- additional status apply chance (Asylum staff pushes it even further)
- animation cancelling is so much smoother than with SS/FH
Well, even for now it makes more sense to use CS, but next patch wont make it any better for SS users. People at Zenimax do not think. Sage and Konkel left 3 years ago, remember about that when u are trying to figure out if Zose team is currently competent or not.Edited by Getern on April 21, 2018 10:41PM0
