I've forgotten how to play!

All I've been doing since the anniversary event went up is dailies, mostly crafting writs for my main and 9 alts. That's usually enough ESO I can handle in one day. Then it's rinse and repeat the next day.

Decided to do some ACTUAL gameplay today, and I've completely forgotten what I'm doing. Couldn't remember what quest I was on, couldn't remember what skills I had set up, and couldn't remember my standard combat tactics. Forgot to eat food before I set out, and I still have about 70+ crafting surveys to go to.

I've become rusty during my non-stop dailies :disappointed:

Yep. Doing all the event stuff tends to eat up my playtime but it's too profitable to skip. I need an event drought to catch back up on my regular playing.

    Same:
Did Direfrost Keep on my stamdk, needed dungeon quest and it was pledge.
Normal because of quest, don't like the last boss and the stamdk is an less used character with no good rotation, smooth run except that the last boss has 5 million health, ops. Good group so no issues but still.

Decided to get the Jorvuld’s Guidance set, for my templar it would be awesome.
Did +5 runs of Fang Lair before realizing it was the wrong dungeon :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

No one is FORCING you to participate in the event right now. Don't ruin things for other people just because you can't control yourself when an event is going on.

I've done nearly 90 writs a day. It becomes so repetitive it mesmerizes me and sometimes I'll stand there and think "I've no idea what point in these 6 writs I'm at or how I got to be standing right here."

That's muscle memory kicking in  You become so used to performing these writs in the shortest amount of time possible, half of the time you don't even realise what you're crafting - you're just pushing the right buttons and the right time.

Don't feel bad. I'm right there with you. I just came back a couple of months ago, and took out my magSorc for a test drive (after trying to remember all the skills she had before they were reset).

I got wasted by two Alits and a mudcrab.

This game has certainly changed since the last time I was here.

    That's a good thing.
    :)

It is indeed. I've got so many duplicates. I'm slowly going through them, levelled up three times just doing the glenumbra ones.

Your combat rotation should be like riding a bike.

If anything, getting on all 8 of my characters every day to complete Cyrodiil dailies has reminded me how to play more than just 2-3 characters. I would go further to say that I've probably improved my small scale PvP capabilities a bit too.

At least they should be easier to find. When you get close, just head for the area where everyone else is.

I've only got 12 characters right now on the NA server so I'm at 72 writs per day, not counting masters. I actually craft days in advance, so many days I just turn in the writs. When I do have to craft, I will do that day's writ twice and the other two days writs once. That lets me craft once every four days and leaves me more time to do other dailies or work on leveling or CP.

Sorry, that was more of a joke....I figured the "Kinda" and smiley face would give that away.

My bad I was not more clear.

I actually enjoy the events--but also like getting back to the game when they are done.

I guess 1-2 weeks after the event ends is the ideal time to stock up on mats from guild stores, lol
