Doesn't do it much justice still. If you have 40k stamina you lose 4k weapon damage towards the heal. Unless they can recalculate that in. Then It's fine :)

    No, hear is why:

    * The Werewolf heal (Hircine´s Bounty and morphs) has one of the best scaling mechanics (aka the amount of heal you get for each invested point into spell-damage and max magicka) in the game. The heal isn´t bad, you just need to adjust your build a little. Making it scale from weapon-damage and max stamina with the same calculations would make it the strongest heal in the game, so a part of it is for the sake of balance.

    * The 2nd part has to do with resource-management. Werewolf skills are rather costly and therefore you need to carefully manage your stamina. Making it cost stamina would make the werewolf-sustain even more difficult. Having a skill that uses another resource-pool help you to manage your stamina better. The option to make it work like Flames of Oblivion (aka scale of your max stats but cost magicka) would also make it too strong.

If playing a werewolf in PvE you don´t need to stack a huge amount of spell-damage and max magicka because your healing will be good anyway. In PvP you need to adjust your build if you want strong heals.

I don´t like to say it because it makes me look like an "elitist jerk" (and hopefully I´m not pictured as one), but the majority of the issues people have with werewolfs (especially in PvP) are L2P issues.

I say the same thing I do in all "Buff werewolf"-threads:
Werewolf´s doesn´t need a major overhaul (changing they way their heal works is a major overhaul), they need small adjustments, especially when it comes to group-play and offering synergies to a group.

I generally agree with this statement. The WW heal is really good with low stats already, and gets insane with pelinals as a set.
Changing it to cost stamina will actually be a pretty harsh nerf in longer fights, where WW just isnt sustainable as it is already (without major investments).

Also, @MerkzM8 your poll design is very interesting. You present your opinion as self evident, not providing any explanation for the change and only asking for an explanation from those that disagree with you.

Werewolf builds are one of the few builds that reward building a hybrid - you will still have enough damage to kill the target but you will also have better self healing. It makes sets like Pelinal's and Shacklebreaker interesting and this is a good thing.

If the heal was to scale off stamina and weapon damage then Werewolf would not only become too effective/strong because they could just go full stamina and weapon damage build and still heal like crazy - they would also become more boring to build around.

I would love to see some changes to Werewolf to make them a more playstyle-defining choise; but getting rid of the hybrid aspect of their builds is not one of them.

I think we should promote more hybridization (if that is even a word) instead of removing what little hybrid build options that are left for PvP.

Have your damage and your heal scale off of one stat? That would be too OP.

Imagine if a sorcerer could just stack everything into a large magic pool and have strong defense and offensive capabilities!

I am more comfortable with how much magicka heals with it as my only magicka costing skill on my WW.

Having the heal separated from stamina skill use as an added damage buff helps balance out it's severe PVE crippling of not being able to rez allies or use team synergy moves.

Don't need to imagine, 5 sorc abilities (including bound armaments) and flawless dawnbreaker =X% more stats and 18% weapon damage.

My point is the entire game is built and balanced around stacking into stamina or magicka.

Successful werewolves (Especially in pvp) have to diversify their builds in ways that will cripple their human forms.

18% increased weapon damage for werewolf is really just a hollow passive, the abilities of the werewolf could be scaled to their current damage/aptitude.

It isn't like werewolves can reap the benefits of the increased stamina and weapon damage by casting massively increased vigor, rally heals, dizzying swings, jabs, or surprise attacks.

Their increased stat pool would be a buff if their abilities weren't the most expensive in the game / armor passives such as medium armors roll dodge reduction just didn't work.

Don't get me wrong, Werewolf would be ridiculous the current scaling of abilities flipped over to stamina. Werewolves would stack into stamina, weapon damage, stam regen and they would be absolutely broken (in pvp).

What could be changed Hircine's fortitude. It is a trash morph. If they changed the way it functioned, such as giving a healing regen bonus or a hot like vigor. It would give pure stam characters a way to survive in werewolf form, diversifying how werewolves could be successfully played.

A message to the friendly players who voted Yes, and are interested in playing a Werewolf :

I have good news for you ! :)

First werewolf is incredibly strong right now, like very, very strong !

Second, and like @Qbiken explained, the werewolf heal is also strong if you select your build carefully.

The fact that it scales (well) from spell damage and max magicka is actually a huge opportunity to make the best use of sets that provide both weapon/spell damage and/or both max stamina/magicka.

On a set like Shacklebreaker, not a single drop of this monstrous amount of stats is wasted.
Tri-stat glyph are also giving you free magicka to boost your heal, etc.. you get the idea.

Now i'm going to show you a quick fight where i would be dead with a stamina heal because i used 12k magicka to survive and needed to get my stam as low as 6k to kill my opponents.
