What should I do with the new sunderflame?

For this I'd like to ignore what sunder was and only looking at the set as presented. It should look like this unless there is another twist for us.

(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(3 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(4 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(5 items) When you deal damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, you deal an additional 4000 Flame Damage and apply Minor Breach and Minor Fracture to the enemy for 8 seconds.

I play mostly solo pve with a khajiit stamblade, but have a dark elf stam sorc and I'm excited to give it a shot. I'm also wondering if the dark elf will get a buff to the 4000 flame damage.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what it CAN do now?

It can make any stam class as useful as a Stamplar. And yes Dark Elf should buff that flame damage.

Technically, no it won't. Casting PotL grants the healers and mag DDs with Minor Sorcery. Which is both an important buff and the only way to provide that buff to the raid.

No to mention, you'd still prefer to have a Stamplar and not waste a set on a buff that a class can provide as part of its damage rotation anyways.

I think they want you to then stack Doyle with that new Psjic move and deal 30k damage with your heavy attack.

    Seems overboard imo,

You're crazy for thinking such thoughts!

I didn’t respond to the OP though, did I? I quoted a specific statement. A build’s “usefulness” is only relevant in the context of a group/raid.

Not quite the only source of that buff. Casting any of the skills in that tree will provide that buff.

Well, true, but you'd still need a Templar DD, be it Magicka or Stamina. No healer slots any of those skills really and even if they did slot the execute, the up-time on the buff would be really low.

Playing a solo Stam sorc means that night mother's gaze is now a buff to you as you have no class access to major fracture. This is however the only good use of the set now

Someone on the PTS pointed out how great it was on his StamDK.... if you go full proctard its good (Skoria, red mountain, Sunderflame. )... its a good free 30K dps. Not good for vet trails but good for everything else.

Also still seems good for my Stamden healer still... although it was better before.
