The Templar's "Bubble" Working as Intended?

So on my mag dk I've noticed that whenever I'm against a magplar using this particular CC I'm getting melted without dealing any direct damage and in 1-2 seconds time while I'm spamming break free I've already taken 8-12k damage from the bubble alone. I asked a few magplars why and they said its due to spiked armor. Each time you're hit with spiked armor active you deal a minuscule amount of direct damage to the attacker and it mostly goes unnoticed. However, if a magplar pops the bubble into vamps bane and hits jabs, your spiked armor will be ticking often and their bubble will eat away your hp crazy fast. Is it supposed to work this way? Is what I've been told wrong? Any other mag dks getting absolutely melted in the time it takes you to break free?

This is the case...if a zerg attacks you and you have eclipse on it will kill you instantly as long as spiked armor is on. Not only does it affect wings, but last I checked it affects the CP skill Riposte, sets like Night Terror, etc. I use Mighty Chudan specifically for that reason on my DK.
