2 pc bonus question

Now staves and other items count as a two piece bonus.

Question - it says in patch notes that vma weapons now require two pieces to get the bonus. What does that mean for vma and asylum weapons?

Here’s what it says

The Master, Maelstrom, and Asylum 2-Handed weapon sets now require 2 pieces to complete the set.

It's just a cosmetic change to fit the new system. Since the weapons count as 2 pieces, the sets are now 2-piece sets.

As Mic said, it's purely cosmetic, no change for Asylum/Maelstrom weapons. .

It's only cosmetic. Same bonus. Just for consistency sake. They even say that in the patch notes.

The Asylum/Maelstrom/Master weapon you have on live now will be exactly the same as the Asylum/Maelstrom/Master weapon you have come Summerset.

I think this is a database cleanup issue. Keeping all weapon types in the same efficient group, for management makes things much simpler and easier moving forward.

A while back, they made dual wield and 1h+shield weapons require both to get the bonus, but also made them drop together. This is just normalizing tooltips because staves, ect. now count as 2 slots.

I'm not sure what the worry is. It's not like there are Maelstrom shoulders or Asylum rings.

Read the patch notes again, it mentions this being a ‘cosmetic’ change.

Basically it looks like they just wanted to notify players that as all 2h count as 2 set pieces, they’re changing the tooltip on the 2h vma/as/ma weapons to say ‘2 piece set’ rather than 1 piece

As others in here have noted, the change is purely a cosmetic one as two-handed weapons count as 2 pieces. This was noted below that comment in the patch notes.

Yes .. and as they count for peices 1 and 2 it makes zero difference
