I had varied success with it for Guild Wars 2 (I'm in NZ myself), so seeing if anyone else sees a noticeable ping reduction/stable vibe from Battleping?

It's based in Aus I'm pretty sure, always seemed like the most legit tunnel service for GW2 back in the day.

Oh damn, I misread. I thought you meant Battlepig. Well, you know what, yeah, it would cool to have a Battlepig..why not.

I'm down for some Battlepig action, but yeah, I meant Battleping lol.

I'm getting about 210ms from NZ to the megaserver all the time without it, probably wouldn't improve it much anyways I'd say.

I live just south of Sydney and get 290-320 ping without it. With it I get 260-280.

It's free to try still so why not give it a go.

If you're getting 210ms from nz, you are winning. Dont know anyone, if there is anyone with less ping ms than that

When i was on gw2, i got from 150-210 ms and when i went to pc eso that shoot up to 400-500. Im on console now and its alot worse than it was on pc. (Qld, Australia)

atleast its not completely elders scrolls offline and every second step was the eternal fall of doom through the floor like it used to be, hopefully the "improvements" to server they are doing for summerset will help out a bit with the lag.

When I first started playing ESO is was with the ISP called 'Flip.' I had tremendous difficulty maintaining a connection to ESO and changing zones or entering delves, thieves guild etc, would crash the game. (Flip had routing issues to ESO for reasons unknown to me.)

Battleping fixed the routing problem but added about 30-50ms to the latency to around 300-320ms. But I could play the game properly, albeit slowly.

I changed ISPs to Bigpipe and no longer need to use Battleping.

I would recommend a trial of Battleping for you. it may improve your ping. Only testing it for your location and ISP will see if it works or not.

Ha! Bigpipe must be the answer then I take it you're also in NZ, so that must be that.

Bummer is, I'm moving house literally next week (lame now that I know this) and they are on Spark Fibre...hopefully the routing is just as good, if not I'll *** Battleping on and give it a whirl I think :)

    Yes, A kiwi.

Bigpipe and Spark use different infrastructure but Spark being much larger surely should have no issues with routing to ESO. I guess you will find out soon enough :)

Have fun with the fibre. I wish I could get it :)

According to a Fiber Calculator, your absolute best possible Ping to Dallas Texas from New Zealand, node to node, not including ISP lag and destination server farm lag is, 153 MS. If your less than 250MS that is about as good as you can expect, and if your near or a little less than 200MS, your not going to find much improvement.

Use this and remember, the Fiber does not follow a straight line, so a 25% fudge factor is about right for crossing an ocean.

Battleping, Mudfish, Pingzapper, WTFast cannot change the laws of physics, so, you will not get US latency to the NA server.

But, as others pointed out, it may help 'smooth' out your experience. It may add a few ms, it may reduce it a few.

It will depend on how the routing gets changed.

I believe all have some degree of free trial. Give them a go.

I have used Battleping in the past for SWTOR when Telstra was having 'moments' and it worked for what I needed; namely, a more stable, 'smooth' connection.
