    Don't shoot the tree?

Some people like to play ring-around-the-tree line of sight games.

I think of it more as following the farm group into the resource tower is gonna have predictable results.

No experiments. Don't try to be a special snowflake. Get a build from YT or talk to experienced players. Get a build template, gather experience, and then tweak it to your needs. Not the other way round.

Be AWARE of what's happening. Know your group, think about what you can contribute (Negate, Dawnbreaker, Destro ult, etc...). Stick with them, but CAUTIOUSLY pursue enemy stragglers to deny camps and resses. Turned around, know when a wipe is immediate, and sneak away early to put a camp or res unnoticed.

Best two tips I could give anyone.

Sorry should have said tank. Lots of times you have one tank standing on the porch or spearheading a wall breach and 90% of people just continue to shoot the tank while all the squishy glass cannons behind him kill everyone.

If even 50% of the pugs out there watched the battle and knew when to drop a negate, DBoS, leap etc things would be very different. Although as a solo/duo player primarily I’m also glad they don’t.

If you’re a solo / duo player, and you find yourself fighting in the same fight as ten other solo / duo players from your alliance against one to four players, you aren’t really a solo / duo player.

If you see two guys dueling in some hidden or zerg free spot, don't jump in the fight like a moron or snipe/ heal spam.

Learn game mechanics. Do not trust what you hear about how things work. I'm looking at you "shuffle dodge window-for-dodging-everything-proc" myth.

Learn everything you can about your class, the different sets you need to be running, & what all the skills do & finally make sure you get the most from your pc's. If you mess up too bad you'll feel it in game by either having sustain issues or dying too fast. Learn how to adapt to anything.
