Forum Notifications?

Is there any way to stop subscribing to a message thread? I have a metric crap ton of notifications for things I've replied to once a long time ago and still getting notifications for(such as a guild recruitment post) and trying to cut down on the notifications for threads I don't want to follow anymore... there has to be a way, right?

Unbookmark it (it's the star right next to the thread title, at least on desktop view).

That's what I thought, but several that I am getting notifications for are still coming through to me and they don't have that star checked...

Hm, works with me. Does not work, of course, for discussions that you started. Did you check the notification preferences in your profile?

I recall this happening to some people long ago. I apologize that I don't recall what the solution was. I think they fixed something on the backend rather than players finding a workaround.

The only thing I tried different than unchecking the star was to actually check the star, then uncheck it again. Was hoping I'd somehow trigger the systems on the backend to "finally realize" I wanted to unsubscribe. I wonder if it has something to do with my subscription/notification settings...
