Get logged out"An error has occurred. Please wait a few minutes and try again" on average every hour

UPDATE:
i have noticed that when playing in windowed mode the eso window says (Not responding) for some seconds when it happens and then it gets back to the login screen. I didn't notice this initially because I was playing full screen as is normal, right? But because I wanted to research this issue while playing and while it happened I switched to windowed mode so I could easily alt-tab to my browser to use these forums and google etc (alt-tabbing from/to fullscreen takes a few seconds, in windowed mode the alt-tab is instant). That's where I noticed the (Not responding) text in the window title; I also noticed that that doesn't show in other cases; for example with idle logout or when manually logging out. Since I have basically tried everything else I thought well perhaps it has something to do with the video card or the drivers that makes the program not respond for some seconds and thus logs out. So just to try this out since I have nothing better to with my life I have now installed an earlier video driver and it didn't happen today. But lets see how it will fare in the coming days.

Note: I have an amd video card by the way, so it's earlier amd video drivers I tried.

Original post:
Every hour on average I get logged out of the game (between 45 min - 1 hours 30 min). There is no error message, but there never is when getting logged out from within the game. But then I remembered that if you get logged out in the character screen, for example if you are idle, you will get a pop up box telling you the reason, for example that you where logged out due to being inactive. So I tried staying in the character screen until it happened (yup really boring) and when it eventually logged out it popped up the error "An error has occurred. Please wait a few minutes and try again". So I tried this multiple times and it is this error every time it logs out, on average every hour. If I just let it log out after a few minutes due to idle it is not this error message, but the one about inactivity instead.

What is causing this logout "An error has occurred."?

I have tried a ton of stuff like pinging cloudflares dns server, but the connection is fine at all times. I have tried disabling all addons, tried adding eso exo to firewall exception. Uninstalling my antivirus/antimalware programs. Made sure required ports are opened. Tried uinstalling network adapter and reinstalling. Tried resetting windows network settings. Tried both via lan cable, wifi cable, but no difference. Tried reinstalling ESO. It keeps happening. There are no disconnects when I try to play other online games. The issue seems tied to ESO.

But here is then the really funny thing: It only happens from this pc, I tried from a laptop I have, there it doesn't happen there.

What on earth could be causing this? It is somehow something with ESO on this pc. So weird.

since yesterday every single time i log out to change a character i get that "an error has occurred" on PC EU.

now it takes a lot of tries until i get in the game again. it only says "an error has occurred".

i have no idea what's causing it but today is really really hard to login.

I decided to try and reinstall ESO today, and it hasn't happened yet. So maybe uninstalling twice works :s the mystery is real. I just hope it's done. whatever it was.

A little update: I have noticed that when it happens the eso game is unresponsive for a few seconds. I dind't notice this earlier because I was playing fullscreen and that just gave a black screen for a few seconds, but in windowed mode I can see in the window title it says (not responding) until it gets to the login screen. This leads me to speculate that perhaps there is something on my computer suspending the eso process for a few seconds and this is what is causing it to log out?

To test this I deliberately tried suspending the process through Process Explorer. But even suspending for 30 seconds didn't cause a logout. This is mysterious. Perhaps it's the video drivers?? guessing wildly now, but I guess I could try installing an earlier driver version to see if makes a difference.

This used to happen to me...its not an ESO issue...its your router/wireles LAN adapter issue. Once I stopped playing ESO on my desktop and started playing on my laptop which has a better wireless LAN adapter, it never happens anymore except when my router goes on the fritz.

I don't know, it's weird. As I mentioned in previous post the eso window says (Not responding) for some seconds when it happens and then it gets back to the login screen. I didn't notice this initially because I was playing full screen as is normal, right? They didnt do maint. this week and on PC NA i can tell. Gold coast has been a nightmare today. disconnects, crashes, failed group joins, chat not working for 20-30 seconds and 2-3 minute load screens.
