Does ZOS's TOS allow ZOS to ban those people for doing that?

Since it is on livestream it is an issue for twitch to deal with.

Report it to twitch their tos are very strict and the streamers are accountable not only for their own behaviour but their audience. If they aren’t controlling it or worse joining in then they will likely get banned.

I don't like racism but if I livestream and someone I am in a party or group says something racist I will check them on stream(or out of stream as well). This does not mean I am held accountable for what they say. If I see something in my stream noteworthy of something messed up like racism I deal with it. There are things to stand up against. There is always a lot to think about as well.

    Kudos to you.

More people need to stand up and say something when they hear this sniveling drivel.

This wasn’t an opinion from myself that you are accountable, twitch updated their terms of service in March and put more onus on the streamer to control their chat and take action to prevent/stop any bad behaviour, especially more extreme cases like racism, harassment etc. If they don’t then they can be banned themselves.

I don’t necessarily agree with this as it’s a lot to handle for the steamer and although racism is clear for the most part other forms of abuse aren’t always as clear. It’s particalularly more difficult for small streamers with no mods etc.

Most likely the only cases is be the harassment of another player, or glitch exploit would be when zos would step in.. Apart from that its up to the other platform to upheld their t&c's

Streamer here, you are indeed held accountable for your channel. Example a friend/person you are playing a game with on stream says something offensive/racist/etc then you actually get banned for it. I’ve had a streamer friend who was banned due to someone putting through an offensive TTS donation. You are supposed to police your own chat, however I know from experience that trolls can make it difficult. I recommend running an auto mod to filter out extremely offensive things, it saves you a lot of time and stress.

Advice aside ZoS is not accountable for this OP, so make sure you don’t publicly post said users name as it can get you in trouble for naming and shaming. Instead you can try reporting him in game if he is enabling this behaviour in the game itself. That being said I’d like to say just because there are ‘bad/offensive streamers’ it doesn’t mean we are ALL the same. I don’t know why but I see this generalised hate for streamers in ESO of late. Let’s be honest here, these are just bad people.

depends on the context otherwise everything would be offending me. Also you can't ban people for saying bad words unless it's a threat or personally attacking somebody in a predatory manner. If it's all fun and laughs there is nothing wrong with it.

Absolutely not. I'm extremely angry some of these companies are now taking it upon themselves to ban people when they do things on other platforms and if ZoS takes this approach, I'll instantly stop my subscription and leave the game.

If you're upset, here's a better solution: stop watching the stream.

What I was implying on was how broad your statement was in the fact that say someone you are in a party with or grouped up with, you have to hear stuff from others plenty of times and honestly sometimes you find individuals or groups of them that they are plain toxic but not all are in that particular group is. You work towards that objective but knowing they are there. I call people out when they are racist. But in no one am I or anyone else accountable for someone not in a controlled environment of our own control are we accountable for someone else saying so and so. We can just do what we can to call that stuff out. If it is something dangerous they are going on about then say something about it. As various things can merit where it is something to addressed about. (I can say some of those things can be those that advocate bodily harm or loss of life of others for whatever reasons and the like).

It is a constant sort of thing to make sure oneself doesn't overdo things and become a worse monster than the ones they call a monster.

I assume ZOS can and should take action if such racist language is being used in game. I also assune that if ZOS had any relationship with said streamer(s) that those actions might be grounds for reevaluating that relationship.

But in the event that they just happen to be using racist language while playing/streaming the game but nothing happened in game...ZOS' ability to respond would be limited by their agreement with the streaming service, which probably has their own TOS about appropriate and inappropriate language.

So in short, thanks for letting ZOS know and I hope you reported them, but the first report needs to go to the streaming service which undoubtedly has their own TOS these streamers were likely violating,

Edited: Just checked, Twitch does have a Code of Conduct that would seem to apply.

.............so first, the OP proposes that ZOS installs software that actively monitors the streams of anybody connected to the game via the client (or Steam). "I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords..."

And then the OP wants ZOS to hire enough people to monitor - round the clock - the twitch streams of its 2.5 million monthly active users. In every language used in the game, mind. And, obviously, shut these streams down - from their end! - the moment someone starts saying something naughty (in any of said languages)...

Needless to say, I support this.

Ehh.. it seems hard enough for them to check/police ESO text chats. Why on Earth are they to police other things? However, yeah, there are many toxic and blatantly bad behaviors about in the game. Sure, you can block all your heart's contend, but it doesn't fix the problem (just hides it from you.) Whatever.. play the game and enjoy it as you can.

don't watch that stream. problem solved.

anyways that would be a problem for the twitch staff not ZOS.
