Razer Mouse slow or lagging in ESO? Troubleshooting Tips here.

I play ESO with a Razer Naga and have been driven mad by stuck/slow/laggy mouse issues. I have an IT background and spent a good amount of time trouble shooting this problem. I wanted to share my fixes for this with the community.

I have found 3 actual causes for it in Windows 10. Number 3 on the list was my most recent issue/fix.

1. NVIDIA driver updates will install/re-enable Audio hardware built into your GPU. Most folks do not use this and the additional Audio Devices can cause the stated issues for me in ESO. In Device Manager, disable the NVIDIA audio devices to resolve.

2. Your Mouse Polling (Hz) setting from your Hardware (Mouse or USB port) does not match that set in Razer Synapse. You will want these two set at the same Polling (Hz).

3. Most recently, mouse delay/skipping has come back for me. This time related to the "Acceleration" setting in Razer Synapse which seems tied to the "Enhance Pointer Precision" in your Windows Mouse Settings. Turn this off in Windows and set Acceleration to Zero in Synapse. My issues are instantly resolved.

Every time I have encountered mouse issues in ESO I always belive that I need to replace the mouse. I plug in a test mouse and get the same results. Possibly my game has more issues with scaling etc as I play at 4k in Win10, but this also seems to be problematic for other folks as well.

I hope this helps someone with similar problems.

So I've turned off pointer enhanced precision and even checked the high dpi box that I've seen to do but none of this has helped. I'm also using a naga and the mouse acceleration is so damn annoying! I play at 1440p. Can't believe there's not an actual across the board fix for this.

Got same issue lol. Had it before but managed to solve it on pc screen. Now I have change to tv instead and the problem is back. Now i tried to lower dpi and rais it, I switched connection from usb 3.0 to 2.0, set camera sensitivity to 0 third person. Turned off smooth mouse and its better except it does full 180 degree randomly when I turn the mouse just go look either right or left. I use a razer naga chroma but same problem with my steelseries rival 100 both were connected to my steelseries apex m800 keyboard. So tried to cennect straight to pc but problem still there. If I remember correctly it had to do with dpi and some settings but yea... Guess I’ll stick to ps4

I also use Razer Naga Trinity and the RGB shuts down as soon as I start ESO.

Also had historic issues with Razer Naga mouse.

Issue 1 -The lag I got was only on remapped keys that were on top of the mouse. It was horrible as I was using them to change weapons and it often didn't. Assumed the mouse was dodge so bought another naga and same thing happened.

Issue 2 - Sometimes the synapse software would forget all customisations and revert back to default. It seemed to revert to non-synapse installed default too as they resulted in a really slow mouse movement too.

I only ever figured a work round for these:

Issue 1 - I got round by using the keyboard to change weapons instead.
Issue 2 - was to either change synapse profile, and then back again, or to unlpug and replug the mouse.
