Fix for Steam users who can't log in

On the launcher click "Game Options" drop down arrow
Then click settings
Then click create desktop shortcut
You should then be able to log in using your user name and password without going through Steam

✭Go to the folder containing the ESO install and launch eso64.exe directly. Can't test it right now as I'm not home, but it has always worked for me when Steam had issues but not ESO servers.0 -
