How can I stop my rush?

I want to read all dialogues, exploring zones, meet NPCs and doing quests without care about XP reward.

My old account was end game character, I returned to the game after 1 year and thats why I'm rushing to 720cp and bis gear, characters with various roles. So can't stop myself speedruns but on the other hand I want to enjoy with game's content.

What do you suggest to me and do you ever feel like me?

Who exactly are you racing against in your rush through it all? Do you win some sort of prize at the end?

Whenever I feel like I have lost sight of enjoying the content along the way, I find I have to step back and play another game for a couple days. Sure, getting to endgame might be great, but to me it's like not tasting the entire delicious meal just because the dessert is amazing.

So just... slow down and enjoy the journey. Keep playing and doing stuff and you will get to the endgame eventually, just enjoy the ride.

    Also, welcome back. <3

One of my biggest regrets in the game was rushing at launch because I wanted to be max level for PvP.

    You could do the following.

Level in dungeons (random normal queue) or grind to get C160 then play the content at a comfortable speed.

Speed through one character, then make a new one to relax and play the story on.

one of the reasons i play solo, virtually, all the time is so that i can look in all the containers, read all the books, explore all the crooks and nannies, talk to all the npcs etc....

early i on i played a bit in groups but gave it up because of all the nagging to hurry up....

zos has given us a great world to explore and i would rather enjoy that at my own pace than rush around.

If you are on PC, you can try the "slow dialogs" addons.

It slows the text and prevent you from skipping it.

I think I got to about Eastmarch in a month or two (I played VERY slow at the start, first week of play I never left Stonefalls).

However I eventually got a PvP guild and then the game became so much more about "Gotta get this done so I can PvP or use better items". I kind off lost that ability to walk behind every rock, and read every note.

I do notice I get into this mindset in every game though, Skyrim and Fallout 4 were the same, start slow but eventually you're playing the "game" and not really living the world.

That's actually one of the reasons I prefer a lot of solo stuff too. The pressure to hurry up and scrambling to keep up while wanting to look at content I haven't seen before, loot ALL THE THINGS, and read stuff just gives me a lot of anxiety.

    Leveling is inevitable.

    You will level.

You do not need to be max CP for almost all content. Definitely not for story driven content.

May the quests be with you.

I prefer the solo stuff as well so I can take my time, read everything and loot everything.
And I also like to wander off the path and end up farming mats on my way to a quest objective.
I play pvp in the no CP campaign where we are all "level 50".

I've played MMO's before, I've been there, done that with the rushing.
With ESO though I don't feel "left behind" because of the way this game is designed.
