I'm reposting this because I origonally posted it in the early hours of the morning when nobody was online to see it (Moderators, plz don't ban me if this breaks a rule):

I would have picked a more specific category, but I can't really be bothered to do multiple posts in multiple categories so I decided to just post here.

As an Elder Scrolls fan who did NOT want an online Elder Scrolls game, I'm surprised by how much I like ESO. But still, there are things that need to be sorted and I don't understand why some of these things aren't as obvious to game devs as they are to me.

1. Guildhalls.
Why is it that a guildmaster can't set a home as a guildhall? Yes yes I know that I can authorize any and all guilds I'm in to use my place, but nobody wants to go scrolling through a roster.
Guildmasters should be able to set a home as an official guildhall, or a leutenant (is that the the correct rank?) should be able to submit their home as the guildhall for the guildmaster to accept or decline at their discretion.
Just how trader information is posted for trading guilds, guildhall information should be posted too and there should be an option in Guild menu, preferably above Roster, to Travel to Guildhall.
Hang on, I don't think I typed "guild" enough. Guild guild guild. Okay, I'm done.

2. Home visitation.
Why can my friends only visit my primary residence? Could we please have a system where you select "visit residence" and then have a dropdown menu of primary, secondary and tertiary homes, and have them named so players know where they're going? eg [Primary: Grymhearth's Woe.]

3. Dye and outfit stations.
Is it just me or is the outfit station fairly unintuitive? I appreciate what they were trying to do but still. I take a noob to the outfit station and they tell me how confused they are and "don't want to pay to dye their gear". Which obviously, they don't, but still. I'd like to see dye stations brought back and the outfit system replaced with a true transmog where players could pay gold to physically change the style of any armour piece. WoW guys want it. WoW guys don't have it. Zenimax: be the ones to do it first.
I'd also like to see dye stations allow a player to dye their weapons as you can with outfit station.

4. Home storage.
Yes yes I know about fences, but sometimes I steal more than I can fence. And yes I also know about the Trafficker perk. But I still sometimes steal too much and don't want to carry it around with me. Why in Talos' name can't I store my stolen items in my own personal home storage that only I have access to? That makes no sense. I can do it in Skyrim so why can't I do it here?

5. Furnishing crafting.
Seriously, who's idea was it to split all the furnishing between the 6 different crafting stations? Why is there not simply a furnishing crafting station? I hate running around different stations to find which one I can make a specific item at.
Also, it would be really great if the furnishing station allowed you to filter by racial styles.

6. Stamblades are a bit nerfed.
Nuff said.

7.Tanks.
We need more tanks. Some players tell me that the lack of AoE taunt puts them off tanking. Others say it's becuase they do too little damage. I don't tank so if anyone has insight, it may help.

What does everyone else think?

I don't own a home yet so I don't know how it all works, but yeah I understand you can't store items in your house. Which sounds dumb really since player housing in mmo's tend to be mostly for that purpose. Housing in lotro had storage and decorating.

I was kind of bummed out when i heard you cannot store things.

You can store items in your house with storage chests found in the crown store, writ merchant and tel'var merchant in imperial city. He's asking for something where you can store stolen goods which, at this point, cannot be transfered from inventory unless you launder them first.

Agreed. I've played this for a long time and the layout is a bit confusing. I only got through it cause i know it before the outfit update. For a new player it might be hell to figure out

there's a quest starter where you can get a tiny room in an inn for free.
I own a few places. Grimharth's Woe: 280,000 gold, and Mistveil Thingy: 1,020,000 gold are the more expensive ones I own.
some you can buy for about 20,000 gold.

As you level up from nothing you get a free coffer which is a service you can place is all houses you own.

yeah, every now and then I meet a noob and craft them a crafted set for their class. Then I tell em to dye it and some of them tell me how confusing it is. I don't like the system. I can work it but I find it very awkward.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, I made a sorta social guild. But sure, that probably needs adding too *shrugs*

Right now if you want your guild tag to show you have to wear the tabard, but the tabard itself goes over the top of your outfit. I want my guild tag to show, but I don't want the tabard to hide part of my outfit.

This majorly one of my pet peeves with ESO's housing, I can't tour other people's homes. I would love to visit other versions of my house.

My biggest problem with furnishing crafting is that most of the recipes use multiple crafting skills. So my woodworker also has to put skill points into provisioning and alchemy just to make a chair.

~sighs~ This game has the most unsophisticated aggro-management mechanics of any game I've played. Yet aggro-management skills are few... four? There are tons of healing skills, every class and weapon has at least one. All kinds of damage reducing shields can be found in all the weapons and classes. All the skill lines have a focus on damage. But there are only four taunts? Why can't every class have one? Why can't 2H have an AOE taunt?

I love tanking, and have tanked for decades now in every game I've played since EQ's Discord. I tank in this game, but feel pretty restricted.

    1) Guildhalls: I'd actually make guildhalls their own 'thing', not tied to an account - as a person in a large crafting guild with every attuned station, but the Founder (and hall owner) probably long gone, if the GUILD owned it, we could add the new stations when they come out - we can't as it is.

    2) Home visitation: there's an add-in, don't have a strong opinion on this as long as you can individually set permissions to not allow anyone -- or only specific people.

    3) Dye and outfit stations. It's not the greatest user experience, but does work. I really don't like the idea of making armor appearance change a store item. Then again, I'm only sorta the target audience for 'costuming' - I tend to just use a costume vs. tweaking each item to make an 'outfit'.

    4) Home storage [for stolen goods] Nah - only if it takes the items out of your storage when you get caught. It's a risk if you keep 'heat' and bounty. Makes you think about where you are, what you're doing. If you have something from Kari's hit list or items worth 10K in your inventory, avoid guards or get rid of your bounty.

    5) I tend to agree with this - it's a PITA to figure out where you craft a specific item, and go through the list on each crafting station...wonder what jewelry furnishings there will be >:) .

    6) Not gonna comment on this - I don't really agree, and I have two stamblades - they play like I feel like they should, and I generally am in the top one or two DPS in our raids. Wish the Grim Focus morphs autofired or something...

    7) I have a tank, don't really agree that lack of taunts is the issue - more/better taunts would be handy, but it sounds like people are still thinking they are playing WoW, and you have to taunt everything, and anything not taunted is the tank's fault. That's not the case. The tank has to prioritize the mobs and decide which ones are a risk, let the DPS blow up the rest.

My tank can switch gear and some skills and do reasonable DPS - enough to do normal stuff in the game, and I don't want to take my tank into a trial or DLC dungeon as a DPS or healer. Since I carry alternate sets for PVP and Trials or whatever for my DPS and healers, I don't see a difference here - CP makes killing stuff easier, but if I'm trying to mow through open world content, speed farm, or sneak through content, I take one of my other 12 or 13 toons or switch gear and skills (again, there's an addon to make that easy - but it's not that hard to do manually)
