To buy or not to buy? Prices on the Worm Cult Motifs

To not fanny about with a long-winded thread, I will put this as simple as such:

How is the market on the Worm Cult motifs? Are they expensive? Is it worth buying them even, would it be possivle to buy them at the cost of 10k a pop, at least?

The event has been extended for another week, which means a lot more motifs will be acquired by the time the event ends. I think the best time to buy will be towards the end of the event, or immediately following it, when a ton of people are trying to sell their motifs. The price will likely drop then, and then slowly climb from there.

Alright, I will hold on from buying, and until then I will be doing whatever daily I feel like to get myself some boxes. Thank you, kind Serjo!

I have stayed away from buying any during the event because you know the second you buy them it will show up in the next few gift boxes you got.

Anyway, as for the Worm Cult. Just from gift boxes I have all but 3 items. Have already got what I really wanted in all the armor pieces, staves and swords, so not really worried about the rest.

Yeah, after the event (maybe close to the end) there will be a spike in sales where people want to buy up what they're missing or invest for future sales.

If you are dumb enough to spend 90 to 500k on a motif page well enough said. If you don't get all the pages by doing ZOS's Old McDonald's Little Farm event the entire motif will be in the crown store eventually. I fail to see the hype over this motif anyways.

I bought pages at 40-60k gold. 40 in zone chat, 60 in guild stores. Pretty nice price, provided that you can make money selling your double motifs - that's how I make money for new pages this days.

I have sold about 20 of them from 40k for things like belts and shoulders to 100k for chests. I have good vendor locations like Elden Root but even there they still tend to take a a couple of days on average to sell at those prices.

I have purchased one (well below market value), and with 30 to 40 gift boxes a day I have gained 5 chapters... 3 were axes...

Needless to say I am not feeling all that charitable... on another note I gained more Buoyant Armiger chapters then the months I have been opening chests in Vvardenfell...

Will I buy the worm cult chapters? yes, if I can get them cheap... I will continue to try to get them from the gift boxes but I sure wish the RNG were more even handed...

I don't know if it happens only for me but drops have been way lower since a couple of days. Therefore, in my guild (PC/EU) Worm Cult chests lately sold for even 350k/ish.

Imo, best option is to get your own boxes and see what you get, and if you get a nice deal like 40-60k/80-100k stated above, then you buy.

One thing i'm sure is they will start going higher after event.

Trade your duplicates with guildies. Its realy that simple. Saved me at least 1 milion gold.

Xbox1 EU, on traders 80-150k depending on the piece. Have seen a few sold 200k and above. Have buyed from zonechats at 30-50k a piece.

If you are dumb enough to spend 30€ on a motif, well enough said. If you don’t get all the pages by doing ZOS‘s Old McDonald‘s Little Farm event, the missing pages will be in the guild stores eventually. I fail to see the reason to invest real money for stuff you can acquire with in game currency anyways.

What an odd statement. Is the wiser decision to spend real money on the motif book or in-game gold?

On topic: I say buy it for reasonable prices and make up the loss with other sales.

what would the larger/more wanted pieces be.

so far i have head, gloves, feet, bows. Any of them worth 100k?

Would helmets or chests be worth more?
