It's not about the bounty. It's just odd and I agree. When I was first a vampire it was very surprising to feed and have the victim turn around and punch me.
Have you ever seen anything like that before? Even in Blade no one takes a bite like a champ like that
I guess its about the PVP aspect... otherwise I could sneak over... start feeding and watch for like 9 seconds as my three friends hack you...defenceless...to bits

and you would be all but ruined by the feeding as they bludgeon you to death - as it stands with no damage, a chance is still there for you
