You could tell they made the game with PVP planned to be one of the biggest draws, but they quickly pivoted and made the game more PVE focused.

Client Performance: We have increased the amount of cpu cores used by the client which should improve framerate for players on mid to high end CPU's on PC platforms. On consoles and PC we have improved how characters are composited resulting in faster character loads and less framerate spikes.
And after years of people throwing their money at them faithfully why would expend resources to fix it? If they were losing paying players THEN you would see them fix it, but they don't so they wont.

Yeah, I mean we don't know how much the passive check will do (and I doubt it's going to be a silver bullet) but it shows they're still working to fix the issues on the server demand side.Turelus
better cpu handling wont effect pvp much. the lag(not graphic/cpu stutter) will remain the same, unless the passive check is a huge performance boost.
imo.

Cyrodiil Updates
I'm stoked for these. Cyrodiil's been need of an update and I'm excited about every one of these performance and quality of life improvements, and even the costumes have got my interest.
