I think it's a good idea it should have happened from the start but it didn't ... Just cos it didn't , I didn't stop playing then and I wouldn't stop playing now ... If you live a way a game plays you adapt to its quirks

Never thought this was a good idea, it’s a one dimensional move to appease the stam people who need to use 2H in PvE and to “fix” mag dps in PvE. It’s going to be an OP mess in PvP and ultimately a poor way of fixing balance.

It's not going to really change much for me.

I would have kept playing the game and loved it regardless, the option being there will change some builds but I don't think it'll actively change my enjoyment levels of the game in any way.

It is going to be a good change for builds in general, puts people on the same playing field with set options.

Also duel weapons and sword and board still have the extra enchantment that one weapon will not have. So there will be a slight advantage of going with those if you really want to min-max it. very good move for the game in my view.

basically, Now when you use a 2h axe (example) this item count as 1 in you weapon slot. With the new chapter will count has 2 slots so If you have a set but can't complete de 5th bonus, you will thanks the 2 slots of the 2h Axe. same for bows and staffs.

OP means over powered. But OP only applies if one build is so much more powerful than the others. If everyone's power goes up, then they just balance the mobs to compensate. For PVP, everyone moves up so everyone is equal.

What this change means is currently only a Dual Wield or One Hand/Shield build can use a Monster 2 Piece Set and 2 5 Piece sets. Now, all builds can go 5+5+2 if they want. So, more choices in how you gear your character. 5+5+2 does not mean automatically you will be more powerful than what is being used now, so some people may not change their builds.

You hold it with to hands, it takes up toe slots - it should count as two.

Only problem i see is a hidden nerf for maelstrom and master weapons...Use one and you don't get an extra slot.

That should have been here at release imo...

Yeah, guess it was scheluded at the beggining of the design but they keep it Talos knows why.
At least it's here and with jewlery crafting it will helps to make new builds

I agree it's a bad idea and will make a mess in PvP. However I think the staff lobby is responsible for this, not stam 2hers. It's not even benefitting stam 2h much but it's a huge benefit to staves.
