defintely magicka. stamina templars where left behind many times in the past and havent seen lot of changes towards making them better. as a magicka templar you have more survivability than the stamina counter part.

Magicka can do more in group play, stamplar is a ton of fun though too. To me ruining someone's day by keeping an ally alive that they are trying to kill is very satisfying.

Yea at some point if you try to dip the scales as a magplar you start to realize that you were building a stamplar all along.

I still have to test some niche stuff too. But if you want solo/mobilty without giving up burst, go stamplar. If you want a tanky healer go magplar. Then you can venture out of their comfort zones if you want a challenge.

Both have their own style of play, I play both. There’s no better but stamplar is the version that hardly gets attention from the devs and the least played version by the community. While one has damage and mobility the other offers utility, better on demand healing and decent damage in the right hands.

Both are clunky, more so jabs/sweeps. I have no problem landing them it’s more so the fact you can get stuck in the animation ruining your burst opportunity.

If anything is better it’s the fact magplar has better sustain and that’s saying something because both can struggle in that area but you can pull off 1400 on a magplar before you could do it on a stamplar.

I'd say stamina. Its like MagDK vs StamDK a few patches ago. Where MagDK obviously had better class skills, but stamDK was carried by the seventh and abilities of stamina as a whole. Stamplar has things like bleeds, ravager, PoTL, better mobility/pots, and can easily use their main weapon to regen their main stat, wheras Magplars often run s/b.

You wanna play solo or always in a group ? In groups, MagPlars are great but also somewhat boring. Solo all the mobility anc clunkiness issues really hurt, there are plenty of good reasons why solo MagPlars went basically extinct a long time ago in Cyro.

Stamplars do ok in both scenarios but are nowhere near the top. The failed attempt at fixing Jabs/Sweeps really hurt, in a CP enabled environment the skill is dead.

I agree, but I notice more and more that a timely BoL won't save most players... they'll die anyway 5 seconds later. I save someone more often by CCing/pressuring their assailant and putting them on defense.

Both are in great place but very different based on playstyle, while I hear the words burst damage for stamina and healer support for magica that's simply not the whole truth.

Magica builds will get better come summerset but right now stamiba solo are superior on all fronts ... Which is why I play magica ... Hahahaha

That templars are bad, templars should only be healers, templars are the pain in the arse hurting cyridiil

Its all bollocks ... Templars are great no matter which way you role, but your playstyle will determine which you enjoy more magic or stam
