Extra motifs - sell or use on alt?

So, should I sell the extra motifs I get during the festival, or use them on alts to improve their chances of getting Master Writs?

There’s no point to use on alt since the costumes unlock for account. Unless you just want achievements on multiple toons.

Since my first toon is the only crafter with all things researched, there is no need to waste the motifs on any of the other non-crafting toons.

Do you know how many people in my guilds are asking for price check on some of the motifs and how many people are telling them to HOLD ONTO THEM until after the event and they will be worth more?

I offered 4 different people last night for Worm shield (that they posted to sell) and they all said they will hold onto them! Like, I hate you all for doing that. At least tell me what you want out of it, price wise.

Funny story too:

One guy even posted in multiple chats and I put up an offer up in a whisper and the guy IN GUILD TEXT CHAT said he got an offer (my offer) for a certain amount and then proceeded to say IN GUILD TEXT CHAT that he was going to tell that person (me) he got an offer for $120K to get me to offer more and I responded in the same guild text chat and was like "excuse me, that was me who offered......." When he got caught, you know what he said, he would COD it to me. GUESS WHAT? HE NEVER DID! For some odd reason, people are bigger jerks during this event than previous.

I turned to my boyfriend and was like "I am so glad you don't take advantage of people on ESO like that" because seriously, he wont sell things for their full market price if he think's its ridiculous. He has a good rep in guilds for selling at a good price and being honest. I love him so much.

So if anyone has Worm Shields, shoulders, gloves motifs on PS4 NA, hmu please.

Since you can swap the master writs over to your main crafter, you'd probably come up on top with selling additional motifs and buying things you want from writ vouchers via guild traders...

I think it depends on the page, "lower level" or less desirable motifs, looking at you assassins or mercenary, I would give to an alt, but more desirable like Vvardenfell motifs, Dwemer, and then the good stuff like Dreadhorn, BA, Mazz, etc I would definitely sell especially duplicates that your crafter knows, even with the additional supply due to the event they will still net a good income.

That depends - all my characters know the simple race motifs, Skinchanger, Grim H., Merc, Deadric etc.

My second "master" crafter knows a bit more but I've stopped chasing motifs for her. Might hold on to all the motifs I get during the event. Some will be sold (when price goes up) but some might be used on some characters.

Sell, it doesn't seem to have that much impact on writ drops so I wouldn't use that as a reason to keep it.

Your alts get all the motifs for fashion, and even if all of your alts have max crafting, there is no need for them to have expensive motifs. Sell them and use that to buy some you don't have (but I would wait for the event to be over, in case you get some more good drops).

Use the cheap ones and sell the expensive ones.

The game doesn't care which of the purple motifs you know.

Me, I'm organizing a big motif swap with guildies at the end of the event.
