Thoughts on the Nightblade - Cripple - Debilitate Changes?

TL:DR - Better for Solo PvE, still not that great elsewhere

For Summerset, this morph of cripple will be having the 50% resource cost restore on kill upped to 100%.

The change from 50% restore to 100% is a pretty heft chunk of mana return for the caster. And this is most certainly a direction to take this morph.

However, I'm not sure if the direction it is being taken is a desired one.

As the Mana Return is on mob kill, this generally means that this is for Trash Mobs and managing your resources when outnumbered by NPC. Not any kind of single target DPS parse or of any use in PvP.

Even so, this still limits its use in group environments, where the Trash phase is usually several targets of similar health. Any repeated application of this skill will result in a loss of total DPS when the option stands to utilize AoE and generally reduce mana expenditure via a faster time to kill by hitting all health pools at once.

However, I can see this morph being exceptionally useful in vMA for MagNB, ("Free" Expedition, Damage, Mob CC. It's like Vicious Serpent 5 piece for Mag in one skill with the executioner passive). But of little use elsewhere. In a sense, it's now in the position that Agony was prior to the complete overhaul of the Ability slot that Agony utilized. In that this morph will Shine in solo PvE content, but the other morph is better for near all other situations.

Personally, I would have loved if this morph would have been changed to function in a similar manner to Soul Trap, in that on target cast it will affect nearby enemies as well. Keeping the resource restore if the desire is to be more offensive in Solo PvE, or removing the resource restore but upping the number of afflicted targets (and reducing total damage?) to have it become more of a defensive tanking option in Group PvE. (Or group Snare in PvP)

For any MagBlades out there, what are your thoughts on this?
