and there are 2 books in game - next the the cake chef, that list all the applicable quests

If you are level 6 then they should list the 6 crafting writs if you have done the certification

Found out you can do 40 dailies max per character... yeah I actually did that many in a day. Never would have known it before this event, would always be selective on which quests I wanted.

That book is just a bunch of gibberish nonsense. It didnt tell me about the crafting writs, it didnt tell me about the thieves guild and DB quests. It didnt even tell me about the mage, fighters, and undaunted dailies. It did mention something about vvardenfell and clockwork though. but as i said that was gibberish.

All the other daily quests that re not in volume 2 are in volume 1.

I think there must be some sort of pre-req for those books to show quests. They do not show any quests at all for me. Just a bit of flavour text. My character is level 50, so it's not because she is too low level.

Pretty well all the dailies have some sort of pre-requisite. Crafting certification, joining the guild, travelling to the DLC area for the first time... Those quests are the ones that have level minima.

If the book's not showing any, perhaps you just don't qualify for any, and need to do another (unlisted) one first?

Sometimes you have to read between the lines to actually get something . The same with the Almanac of daily quests right next to the chef

Unless I'm mistaken in order to use the books for the anniversary event, you must have completed the Mage's Guild quest line.

To help you identify what daily and weekly quests are available to you, we have also added the “Adventurer's Almanac, 2nd Edition" to the game. Upon reading it, if you have completed the Mages Guild quest line, the new book will be added to your Eidetic Memory and be accessible from your Journal at any time. You can find the book somewhere near Chef Donolon in each capital city.

You don't need to have finished the MG quest line. That's just if you want to have it accessible to you for reading at any given time via Eidetic memory

Didn't you mean "if you don't want to not have it not be inaccessible" or something?

Still MG is only for the Eidetic memory part.

I've completed the Mage's guild quest line and have the title. I have unlocked all the various dailies. But my Adventurer's Almanacs don't have any quests. Just a couple of pages of descriptive rp text. They both look like this:

I'm confused on how this works, the book next to the chief tells us what the daily quests for the event are or just where to go find them? when I opened book it didn't start any quest so hopefully I didn't miss anything when I get online to eight I am going to actually read the book

The book just lists general areas where the valid quests are located. Use the guide I posted earlier to find the specific locations, strategies, and tips for each of those.
