You sit closer to the monitor, than the tv , it take up more of your view and you can see smaller details, its an reason pc games use far smaller fonts than console games.I could, but I swear games look better on my 1440p gsync Dell monitor than my 65 inch sony 4k tv.
After years of swearing by it, I quit PC gaming because of all the cheaters, and I won't go back.
I'm sure the game looks better on PC but I have also heard that it runs better on Xbox / playstation.

A 1070ti more than enough for this game, and why anyone would voluntarily play this game on console is frankly beyond me.

lol. You can if HDMI. Potato PCs does not support HDMI for your information.
Using a television is, sadly, a trade off when using a console. Televisions are not made for gaming. Even the best HDR 4K set on the market is woefully inadequate to handle them.I love the way it looks on xbox, but I do notice the 30 or less frames.

Consoles limit the output resolution to coincide with many standard specifications TVs have. Sure, games with HDR will look great on a television, but they will not play well on it.
Gaming monitors are specifically designed to handle various framerate changes. Refresh rates are as small as they can get, and some will even synchronize with the GPU for maximum visual performance.
Thus, if you're looking for eye candy, PC is only the way to go.
