I've always loved the Dwemer/Clockwork styles. I went out and got many of the Apostle pages just so I could make a nice outfit. This is what I've always been wanting, but vAS was something I don't see myself completing, not for a long time anyway. I'm not sure if that's the same polymorph or not, as I haven't seen anyone using it.

The one in the store is also brass/golden. Check it carefully (legs are brass/golden). It's just the light effect on the chest that makes it look silver or so.

And even if they are different, the difference it's just color. This one even looks better.

Yes, they're different colors so you can tell which one came from where, like the Spiderkith skin and the Ebony skin.

Yeah, if you look at the pictures, the clockwork reliquary from vAS is gold with bronze insets, whereas the cs one appears to be a light silver but definitely has gunmetal/cobalt insets. I imagine in game they’ll be fairly easy to tell apart.

That said, zos’ reasoning behind putting the polymorph from vas in a runebox instead of instantly adding it to collections was to give raiders an incentive to continue to run the content after getting the skin and any gear they wanted. I would venture to say this release will make the market for the runeboxes tank even further than it has already, which imaginably will de-incentivize trying to collect runeboxes to sell, but who knows. End of the day it’s their game so they can release whatever content they choose to.

Yeah, I think it'll devalue it a chunk for people who just wanted to be a robot. Glad to have an alternative at least, and it's just a palette swap instead of a better version like the vHOF/vAS skins. Still sad that the vHOF skin is patchy ):

I still want the vAS poly though, because when I get mine I'm just going to run up to people and scream about how we're all unworthy and none of us are wanted.

The AS one is still a huge deal compared to this. People will be able to tell the difference and nothing earned via those challenges has been lost.

It would be a slap if they sold the exact some item, but like before with the other reskins this doesn't take away what people have achieved. There are still titles if people want to have something exclusive to brag about.

i always hate when they release a slightly better version of a mount / pet...its not different enough to justify another purchase one hand and on the other hand i want the new version.....

can we please add a mount and pet exchange program...

@Turelus yeah a friend of mine wasn’t having good RNG in vAS itself so decided to just buy the runebox, and got it for 2.5 mil. Back when they were first released 9 mil was common (I think top I heard sold back then was 11 mil). Nowadays I think 4 mil is a common price. Imo the slap in the face (not sure if it’s that bad, just kind of sad) is that zos more or less said the purpose of putting the cr polymorph in a runebox was so people could sell them. Now they’re monetizing it, which, it’s a limited time offer and different colors so the effect hopefully won’t be too drastic, but I think most players who want to be a factotum would rather shell out $20 than several million gold. I think realistically this will devalue the market price of the runebox even further, while a high market price was zos’ original intent with it. Again, it’s fair game, not saying they can’t do this, but it’s unfortunate based on what their stated purpose of the runebox was.
(Also prices are from PC NA, not sure what other markets are like. Maybe it’s fine in those!)
