Toggles to Load Certain People

Have you ever teleported back to Elden Root after finishing that Undaunted quest, go to trade an item with a group member just to find out they're invisible to you?

It's highly frustrating when the game loads in 100 players I don't care about before it loads in my group members or NPCs I might want to interact with. Sometimes it literally will not load in a group member until both people switch zones entirely. It just never loads their character which prevents any kind of trade or interaction.

I think it's time we finally get toggles, especially on consoles, to turn off loading of other players.

Toggle Guild would load only guild and group members, while still showing the name/icon/health or nothing at all, depending on your other settings, of other players.

Toggle Group would load in only the members in your raid or group.

Toggle NPC would load in only NPCs which would be ideal for solo players.

If you dont like this, maybe change the code a bit so that group members and NPCs take priority loading over random players. Also give us a slider in the options to set a maximum amount of people we want the game to load. So we can set it low like 10 every 100 meters so that the world still feels alive or 50 to 100 if you don't mind how quick things load and in what order.

It would really help with performance on our end, cut down on load times and reduce lag while moving through populated areas.

Obviously these settings would most likely be disabled in Cyrodiil and I have other ideas for that. Such as making all enemy factions look the same on your end. Meaning EP will all be wearing the EP style alliance motif gear. Might not help a lot, but to me it sounds like loading one sure thing instead of running checks on outfits and styles, would cut down on at least some lag. Again this would be a toggle so if you don't like everyone being clones you don't have to.

Making your faction invisible or where you only see an icon where one is at would also help. Group members you would still see though. I don't care generally what anyone outside my group is doing and it would allow me to keep track of group members easier.

Anyway, I'm not saying things have to be done this way or that they should be, but its just something I know some people such as myself would appreciate. Again, all of these options should be toggles we can turn on and off, so that anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to use it and can experience the game in the original form.

Each zone has multiple instances. I was under the impression that grouping put you in the same instance as the other person. I guess not?

It is supposed to and it generally does. That isn't the issue though, the issue is it not loading my group member in. My wife and I are almost constantly grouped. We will load into the same zone, but one of us are invisible to the other. I can see her, she can't see me kind of thing.

To add to this, this isn't that big of a deal when it comes to interacting, just annoying that the game loaded 100 other people in, but not my group member, they're still invisible to me.

This also prevents you from reviving the person since you cannot see their corpse.

If you travel independently to the same zone instead of letting one person travel to it and then travelling to them you'll get instanced still even if you are in a group.

It should, depending on how the ports happened. If both left the door or ported to a wayshrine, then the system is supposed to prioritise zones you have friends, or guild members (or I think group too). There could be discrepancies if you port to a friend or guild member and that friend is in a diff instance to where your group member may port to. Also not sure what happens if you both try and port at the same time (ie, the group member is not yet "in" the destination instance).
