So the idea is to allow crafters to craft pieces of gear with 1 empty stat slot in each. These pieces of gear cannot belong to any set, however, you can fill the emply stat slots with essences that represent stats.

How do you gain essences?

You have to deconstruct existing gear that belongs to an existing set. For example, when you deconstruct a set item that has Max Stamina on it twice, you have a small chance of receiving a Max Stamina essence. When you decostruct a piece of gear that has Max Stamina on it 3 times, you have a bigger chance of obtaining a Max Stamina essense.

You can then slot these essences into your individual pieces. With 5 pieces equipped, you'll end up with about as many stats as you could have with a regular set equipped, except this time you were able to fully customize your gear to your purposes.

This system opens the door for further custimized builds through special essenses that go into these stat slots. Your imagination is the limit. Think of essenses like:

*On Hit: 10% chance to increase Magicka recovery by 320 for 20s.
*On Being Hit: 5% chance to receive a a damage-preventing shield for 7990 HP.
*On Stealth: 20% chance to receive Major Expedition for 20s
*25% chance to receive extra gold when picking someone's pocket
*On Heal: 5% chance to increase outgoing healing by 10%

etc...

Also, I know this is heresy, but is it possible that spellcrafting could take the form of special essence crafting?
