In what order should I do DLC?

I was waiting until I reached 160 CP before completing the main story and Daggerfall quests. Afterwards, should I go to the two other alliance starter areas or dive right into the DLC? I keep hearing about the importance of completing the Gold Coast.

Lastly, in what order would you suggest I complete the DLC? Thanks in advance!

I played them as they released and my story felt great.
Just dont buy DLCs that dont have a new piece of map. The dungeons are not worthy it.
If however you need the Monster sets for competitive PvP do it. You wont need those sets for competitive PvE, it's too easy.

I often bash Zos, but I must say yesterday I got clockwork city DLC and I had a good time for 14h. Loved it. But I wont be getting Dungeon DLCs

    Give stamDK a stamina Stonefist.
    Move Momentum to FG.

It doesnt matter. I jump around depending on what i need at the time. For example, i did thieves guild and dark brotherhood on an alt and have yet to even start the main quest. Just do things in the order you want.

No matter when you do something, it will always be your level as will the rewards and xp, so you can do whatever you want.

So, there is no chronological order regarding timelines in the DLC?

Not really. They’re mostly standalone. I would recommend doing the Morrowind main questline before clockwork city though, but it’s not vital to do them in that order.

The rest are all completely disconnected from each other.

Yeah there sort of is. The release date order reflects that. The Imperial City was the end of the Molag Bal story and Orsinium started a new story that is still continuing in Summerset.

In addition, to me at least, since the MW version of the game now starts you at MW, it feels wrong not to complete Vvardenfell first. When I do that, I'm between lvl 25 and 35 by the time I get to the alliance zones. Don't know if it matters or not, but it feels right to me...

I think most logical way is:
Your alliance + main quest -> other alliances -> Orsinium (because it mention Morrowind; for those who are not DC, can be right after DC) -> Dark Brotherhood (old friends + mention Morrowind; but you can just get blade before actually doing - that's from start quest) -> Morrowind (Naryu can mention previous adventures) -> Clockwork City (old friends again, mention Summerset).

You can do Thieves Guild any time you want, because it has no connection with other quests and characters, but I think it is much more convinient to do, when you already have Blade of Woe.

And I can't say anything about Imperial city, didn't do it myself.

Yes, I hate PvP, so I don't touch Imperial City.

I had to PvP early on because I needed two assault skills for my build. I also tried my hand at soloing Imperial City, but was disappointed to discover the story missions require a group to complete.

Just to clear up any confusion, so you won't be disappointed, the Blade of Woe isn't a physical item in game, its an ability like that of when you hide behind an NPC to vamp bite them, it pops up like Feed would. It's still super addicting and fun as hell and its awesome. You can even go to a group of baddies and hide behind them to 1 shot them with the Blade of Woe!

Most the DLCs are stand alone but in terms of story, doing Morrowind then Clockwork City will probably help out with figuring out wtf is going on with Summerset when it comes out as it will help flesh out more of what is going on with that expansion and probably help out with any npcs who may pop up and their significance to the story.

In terms of getting skills/passives though, completing either Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild would probably be a priority. Like with DB, you can get Shadow Rider for reduced aggro while mounted; while with TG you can reduce how long you stay wanted.

    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Dark+Brotherhood+Skills
    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Thieves+Guild+Skills

So it all depends on how you want to play.

About TG. If you want its benefits, but plan do another quests before, you can do start quest, then first quest from board, and then from time to time do Covetous Countess (item delivery repeatable quest, easy, if you save needed types of items). So you'll have TG level to do story quests later without "damn, not enough level again!" and unlock passives + abah's watch style for sale.

I would say you should to Thieves Guild before Dark Brotherhood one simply because you are more likely to have a good level within legerdemain and will get better loot from all of the kills you will do in DB :)
