Mercenary light robe hip flaps are great and plus I really don't want a sword hovering next to me in bid air its bad enough with bows already it makes me cringe its why I unequip weapons when wearing costumes

If the waist-connected flaps were actually on the waist component of the armour, it would make more sense. Especially on some of the Bosmer pieces, the chest armour doesn't come near the tassets. And of course the belt is just the buckle.

My big beef with the styling is that the front/rear flaps are inappropriate for mounted use. And mounts in this game are functional, so they get used.
