Is all the other game content ( ie: vma, undaunted, trials, etc ) unplayable during events on console?

Haha you pvp guys always out there looking for ways to turn everything into a " poor forgotten about pvp'ers" discussion. This isn't a bash or a feel bad for me discussion. Just curious everyone on consoles notice a dramatic difference in game performance in an event and out of one. Go peddle tears elsewhere, lol.

Probably because the quest has you going through 900 loading screens causing more stress on servers plus more users logged in

Wonder how much is client side an caused by the huge number of players, assume they added more shards in the 3 relevant zones.

i was on when the festival started and for hours afterward (xb/na). exiting from my houses to the relevant 3 zones took a little bit longer than usual. the zone's load screen would stay up just barely long enough for the "unusually long" message to pop up, and then immediately finish. it was not a concern at all.

twice i had the "visual rubberbanding effect happen. both times i was riding a maxed horse with Rapids toward a Jester's tent and the crowd around it.

whoops, i misread the question. everything outside of those 3 early provinces felt perfectly normal. i haven't visited Cyrodiil yet.

Yeah, got a bit rough early yesterday evening on PC/EU. Powerpoint-style but once out of the mob at the royal folks, it was fine again.

There were a LOT of players clustered in one area. Yowza.

makes it easy to get the achievement for putting flowers on people's heads.

my personal best is hitting 6 players with one cast.

Thanks to the Jester's Festival, the accursed spell "This may be an unusually long loading time" appeared.

I haven't seen this affliction in months.

My personal experience yesterday was per below:
I was showing my son today how the game looked on PC vs his Xbox one and my Xbox one x.

It took literally 10-20 seconds to reach the character screen and another 10-25 to get on while i was logged in Morrowind.

Porter to Glenumbra and another 10-20 seconds to load.

Consider I’m on Google Fiber Wired using an i7 8700k with 32 Gig of ram and a gtx 1060 with a Samsung evo ssd.

My guild was trying to do VAS because it's the weekly and the lag was horrendous.

You are vaguely peddling your tears here about something that's not that clear. What do you mean by all 'other ' content? As we need to know what content you are doing first, assuming from your post you have issues there. Also PvP is other content....

Regardless, ive had no issues bar slow load Into jesters area like normal. If that's your question.

What do you expect with all the players spamming aoe at event locations just to be annoying.

In any event (doesn't matter if PvE or PvP), when there are loads or masses of peeps/toons gathered in a close area, you will always have spikes of technical issues (lag, glitches, longer loading screen, whatnot.) I'm already getting longer loading screens or running into loading screen in spots I would otherwise not get during this Jester events. Seems like toons/characters and NPC alike are also taking a bit longer to load again, since this event began. It's definitely taking a longer time just to get those King/Queen Jesters to speak after spamming the x button for them to do so. Aside from that, the event is not going so bad as last year or the year prior. Whoah, it was much worse then where the event itself and a lot of contents outside of the event were in shamble. Currently, for me, any other overland contents outside of this Jester event are still working fine (not sure with vMA or trials, though); despite the increase of loading time.

Yup, i´m having latency problems and lag in PC-EU since the Jester´s festival started. Damm clowns...
