Just wanted to say, that at times it feels interesting to take a look at those speculative yields..

But most of the time its not very fun in the long run, to know beforehand whats coming. I just wanted to recommend you folks, to leave these alone for a while, and recapture the times, when expansions were something that people waited to be announced in great anticipation, since they were not known beforehand.

That is all ;)

Everything gets revealed before it's released. Summerset was revealed 2 months before its official release. Whether I know about something 2 months before release or 6 months doesn't really make a difference.

I just wish more people who read the datamine reports would bother to spoiler it for the people who don't. Some people like to be surprised.

with ESO datamining, i never have more fun knowing less. i like to plan ahead and be ready for things. i guess if i was terrible at evaluating the information as it's "presented," that might lead to more disappointment than planning. oh, and if ZOS did a lot more intentional misinformation via that method i might keep less of an eye on it. but ignorance isn't bliss to me.

i'll try to be mindful that people consider it spoilery, though, when i post. that hadn't occurred to me.

This would be good practice, yes.

This has been true for year, developers do announce games and expansions beforehand. Has been this way for decades.

Datamining is different. It gets info, videos and actual wiev to content. Sometimes in great legths.

Datamining at its best, is still highly speculative and everything it yields, is subject to change greatly, if not released at all.

Datamining can be good to let people know about possible bad ideas though, but at the same time, unfinished products more often generate false ideas of what is to come.

When developer announces a new product, it is allready highly finished on its main features, giving good idea of whats to come and giving a good reference to give feedback about actual stuff thats really coming.

You don't have to read data mining topics/news.

I love the work of the data mining crew. Usually gets me excited for ESO again every time they find something interesting.
